Author | about dmg formulas ? |
If you have 2*14% bonus dmg (ie i fire spells) -> I saw that it gives +26% dmg (during the battle)
what is the formula ?
because that means 2*7% in earth direct dmg gives +12%... -> I would be happy to be sure of that and how to claculate for example 10% + 10% + 10% ? | I don t undrstand it is not at all compound... | If you have 2*14% bonus dmg
is like that: 14%+14%(100-14)=14%+12.04%=26% | As far as I know, it should be product of enchants (i.e., 7% corresponds to a factor of 1.07 in the damage formula). But I might be wrong. | x and y are percentage of the same damage class (fire, ice, earth,...)
Damage% = 1 - ((1-x)*(1-y))
In your example:
x = 14% = 0,14, y = 14% = 0,14
Damage% = 1 - (0,86 * 0,86) = 1 - 0,7396 = 0,2604
That's about 26% as you have observed.
For x = y = 7%
Damage% = 1 - (0,93 * 0,93) = 1 - 0,8649 = 0,1351
That will be a 13,5% damage increase. | Thx a lot !!!! | but if you have 2*7% in earth and 1*10% in fire -> does that mean:
Damage% = 1 - (0,93 * 0,93) + 1 - (0.90) = 1- 0,8649 + 1-0.90 = 0,1351 + 0.10 = 23,51% ?
or it is more
Damage% = 1 - (0,93 * 0,93 * 0,90) = 22,16% ? | Damage% = 1 - (0,93 * 0,93) + 1 - (0.90)
additive | Thx !!! | QATC | closed by Lady Takesister (2009-09-24 21:04:50) |
