Author | Level 8 recruiting - Barbarian Faction - Request inputs,help |
Hi all,
I got to level 8 yesterday, and built the necessary buildings for wolf-raiders and for rocs.
I am experimenting with the roc's transport ability, by flying 10 ogres (using 5 rocs, or 12 ogres using 6 rocs etc).
Is the transporter ability used much by other barbarians - level 8 and above? Or are rocs just used to melee, like any other unit?
Any advise on whether I should stick with hobgoblins, or get 50 wolfraiders (max I can), or a mix of both, keep ogres max/min, etc?
Thanks in advance.
Beeshma
P.S: Is it still best to keep up with the offensive talents (the ones which are cheaper than others for barbarians)? Thanks. | It all depends on the situation at hand, beeshma. Rocs are primarily a weapon--a transporter only when convenient--ie if Roc bursts in pvp, and gives you a chance to play ogres in a good position, etc.
Also with the wolfraider v hob goblin -- go with whatever you feel more comfortable with. Most prefer the wolf raider build--myself included.
A barb without offensive talents is like a salad without dressing hehe.
Cheers,
LS | Thanks!
I was amused to think of my ogres as ogre-paratroopers getting flown into the thick of battle, carried in the claws of the birds! Too bad the ogre's initiative is quite low :-) I will use nocs as another melee unit - transporting rarely if at all.
I always go with the offensive talents, was just horsing around with the others (esp. luck! appears I am not very lucky even with +3 luck at times heh).
I like the raiders over hobs too, triple attack is nice. But in PvP The raiders have a red target painted on them. unlike gobs, which some underestimate until they see 500+ dmg from the hobs :-)
Thanks again. | for beeshma:
