Author | Selling A Used Item Way 'Above Market Price' |
Hi all,
Just thought of something related to the other thread I made and in reference to this rule:
3.13. Additional characters are not allowed to make presents to anyone, or pay/receive clan taxes/entrance fees. When buying game items from other characters, the prices mustn't differ too much from the average market prices. Trying to wash the money through substitute parties is a serious violation leading to block of the additional characters and penalty to the main one.
I have on a few occasions, by accident/carelessness, bought an art that has way less than full durability.
Now, If I were to buy say, a Thief Dagger that has only 1/60 durability left at 40,000, I would have paid about 35,000 above the market value.
Would I then be breaking the rule of:
When buying game items from other characters, the prices mustn't differ too much from the average market prices. ?
Or again, does this only applies to 'additional characters', and not to mains?
Either way, isn't this open to abuse?
Can mods kindly shed light on this please.
Thanks in advance. | Oh, I'm asking this coz I see MANY arts that's in the market that has very little durability but sold only a little lower than the full durability ones.
It's pretty obvious that some players are exploiting the 'carelessness' of others and trying to sell off/have sold off low durability arts at market price after enjoying the art themselves.
Now, if we go according to the rules, it would be insane to punish the player who bought the arts. Not to mention how that player would feel to be 'punished' twice - For over-paying for an art that has almost 0 durability, and then get penalized for breaking the rules.
But on the other hand, if the rule is that it's not punishable and totally legit, then anyone can 'pass' tons of gold to another player by this method. | Now, If I were to buy say, a Thief Dagger that has only 1/60 durability left at 40,000, I would have paid about 35,000 above the market value.
Although that is above market value, the dagger is worth well above 5,000 gold. It is worth approximately 35,000 gold. So you only paying about 5,000 gold above market price and not 35,000 gold extra. | people can sell an item from their mains at any price they wish. they BREAK the rule if they mark up an item way above market value, and then have their ALT buy it from their MAIN. thus financially assisting through the market.
as far as you accidently buying something overpriced, you may want to pay better attention next time. | 3.13.6. Additional characters are not allowed to buy, trade or exchange rare set artifacts and Thieves' Guild invitations(TGIs).
Rare artifacts are any items that are not displayed in the Artifact shop and that cannot be acquired in hunt.
Additional characters can enter the Guild using diamonds, but the TGIs and artifacts received as guild bonuses cannot be traded to other characters. We would like to remind you that additional characters only serve to get acquainted with the features of other factions | Although that is above market value, the dagger is worth well above 5,000 gold. It is worth approximately 35,000 gold.
A 0 durability Thief Dagger can be sold off for around 35,000 gold? Seriously? You sure? I don't know the resale price to Empire fore Thief arts since I have never used them. But if so, I'll buy up all the thief Daggers in the market. haha.. :) | 1. you can sell 0 durability items on the market.
2. 35k is the estimated value in a one to one transfer +- a few k gold.
3. empire buys 0 durability thief arts 0/60 at about 8-9k gold I believe.
1/60 thief arts are almost just as valuable as 60/60 arts. simply because you can repair them for around 8000-8800 gold to 90% depending on your repairer. | 1. edit you CANT sell 0 durability items on the market | #8
I don't know the resale price to Empire for Thief arts since :) | you can use the sell feature in your inventory to recieve 8000-9000 gold. for 0/60 durability thief arts. |
