1. Not to put the wire on electricity even you don't use your items, that will help you to save your money (for paying the electricity) up to 40-50% every month. That also means that you can reduce the amount of heat, which was produced by electric items, that increase global warming
2. Reduce using plastic bag,etc because we need to wait until 1000 years to change plastic back to the nature (soil). Up to 300 million plastic bag is being thrown in many countries every year.
3. Reduce using paper. From 10kg or newspaper need 1 tree that need 10 years to let it grow until big. Also about ilegal logging which affect very much to global warming in order to complete the demand for paper. So be careful when you want to throw your paper, it may used again to make something. Don't forget not to burn your paper, bring it to the recycle place in your country so this will save many trees.
4. Reduce drinking mineral water which use plastic bottle. Every one litre that you buy is equal to 5 litre water. In the factory, to cool down heated plastic bottle, that have been made, need 5 litre water and this for one time using for every bottle. So 1 plastic bottle = 'throw' 5 litre water. And also be careful when using plastic bottle, choose which have number 2,3 or 4, it save for you. Else it bad for your health.
5. Reduce using tissue. Tissue is unable and very hard to recycle. That was embarassing. If you use 6 tissue everyday, than you will spend 2.200 tissue every year for every person. If we reduce at least one piece of tissue, we can reduce the amount of tissue trash up to 350 piece every year.
It's also good if you have at least 2 type of recycle bin. one for organic and the other for non-organic.
and at the last PLANT TREES AS MUCH AS YOU CAN. Their will help us to reduce the amount of heat and increase the amount of oxygen and ozone for our earth and life :)
Thanks.

if you have any good idea to help our earth reducing gobal warming, you can write here :) |
6. Reduce electricity consuption. turn off computer now |

Turning a light off for an hour a day for a whole year (a light you would usaully have running)generates enough power for a average TV to run for a month.
Cigarettes-take 1-5 years to degrade
nylon-30 years
glass bottle-100 years
plastic bottle-unknown. (since the production of plastic bottles none have degraded yet. thats how long they take)
I forgot the others. |
7. Limit the use of fire based magic like fireball.
Instead, use unpopular but environment friendly water magic.
8. Dont bring/gating too many devils, can cause severe air pollution each time they breathe/teleporting.
9. Try to repair than throw it away because art like sword of might parts need more than 100 years to be recycled.
10. And remember, for each meteorite shard you get that means small piece of extra hole at atmosphere. |
Some points.
With the Pacific decadal oscillation (PDO)about to commence its cooling period I don't think we have much to worry about global warming. Use of deliberately misleading 'research' e.g. the Mann Hockey Stick which suggested that global temperatures were regular and stable until very late last century helped create the alarm we now have. The fact is global temperatures have been steadily rising since the little ice age, and there has been no evidence presented or even suggested that man has been causing global warming since the 1700s.
In nations with effective waste disposal plastic bags are a wonderful thing because they are reusable. Every time a plastic bag is reused that is another resource that stays in the ground. They are also great for dealing with domestic waste i.e.they reduce the spread of disease and pests, and they reduce water wastage. I agree in nations with poor waste management systems plastic is clogging up our rivers and seas and there are many other environmental problems.
Paper and wood products are great. If you are a global warming alarmist cultist, paper and wood products store carbon so we should be chopping down those trees to store the carbon. The trick is we need to make sure we replant and replace what we chop down.
Point 4 - Agreed. Bottled water in a lot of countries is not needed. In poorer countries adding flouride, chlorine and other chemicals will significantly reduce the need of bottled water, and easily offsets the costs with health benefits.
Tissues are recycled paper, biodegradable and store carbon. Tissues are not really a threat to the environment.
Recycling is fine.
Plant trees - agreed. There are many reasons to do this.
If global warming really does concern you then the most sensible thing you can do is move your baseload energy sources to hydro or nuclear, and then centralise your energy systems. Hydro and nuclear are great as they have near zero pollution and near zero emissions over their lifecycles. This nonsense with wind and solar farms is silly. Businesses, schools, hospitals etc all need to operate on a regular basis, not just when it is windy or sunny. Solar does not operate at night and only operates at 50% in cloudy weather. 5% of the time wind farms across a nation operate at 2% capacity or less, and 25% of the time at less than 10% of capacity.
Anyhow those are my two pennies.
Cheers |
Wind farms are a touch and go thing. If you live a mountainous area such as I, we almost always have a small breeze. Another place that wind power would be good, is in a city. Any kind of breeze that blows in a city is funneled and channeled between buildings. We need to change the style of our wind farms, and use the rotary style that used to be used for exhaust fans. We don't need to use huge 3 blade propellers to catch the wind and harness the energy. Energy is created by a changing magnetic field. Place a magnet at the center, and allow the rotation of the small rotary dome to cause the changing magnetic field, thus causing energy. OR funnel the moving air into a smaller area, thus increasing it's velocity, which will increase the speed at which the propeller or rotary dome will spin, thus increasing it's energy output. It's simple physics that should've been incorporated into the wind farm industry a LONG time ago. |
Or rather, energy is not creating by a changing magnetic field, electricity can be created by a changing magnetic field. |
Jeverag - lol |
Reducing is nice; but there's a limit and people care about standard of living. Not mentioned is how we need to change the materials we use nad how we get our energy.
1. Use reusable items instead of disposables.
2. Instead of plastic use PLA (a bioplastic).
3. Instead of paper use Bagasse (sugarcane fiber). |
for Ravensclaw:
Glad you said it. What a giant scam this all is. Al Gore is getting rich from his junk science and they will use this hoax to further enslave the masses. It's all about control, power and money. In 1976 the alarmists were telling the world about the coming ice age. Now it's global warming. They want your money to fund their science projects and also would love to take down certain industrialized nations. Nothing wrong with helping the environment at all but this is about something else. |
any idea? hope we can learn to save our earth :) |
Hi Modi
Yup some of it certainly is a scam, and you are spot on about Gore. He is governing for his own vested interest and doing it openly and brazenly. And this doesn't mean I hold anything against the US democrats per se.
There also is some good science supporting global warming, and it certainly is plausible we are warming the planet by increasing our CO2 emissions. However the overall evidence points to that we are not doing so with CO2. And I make this claim on four very important points.
1. Santer et al 2005 tried to directly prove man made global warming by looking for a signature in the atmosphere. They couldn't find it.
2. Recent research by Lindzen (Iris Effect) and Roy Spencer on cloud feedbacks have demonstrated how the cloud systems regulate near surface temperatures.
3. CO2 although a greenhouse gas, does not have an exponential or even linear effect on temperature. CO2 has a hyperbole effect on temperatures i.e. the first 10 parts per million may affect temperatures 1 degree, the second 10 parts per million .8 degrees etc. As we are approaching 400 parts per million CO2 is already near its saturation point trapping heat. If we went to 800 parts per million it would have almost no effect.
4. CO2 is a trace gas and a weak greenhouse gas. If you put 10 thousand white golf balls into a pool and then add 4 blue golf balls, the blue golf balls would be a reasonable representation of how much CO2 is in our atmosphere. And man's global contribution to CO2 wouldn't even be a dimple on one of those golf balls.
That's global warming in a nutshell.
If you want to learn about global warming without the taint of activism or groupthink there are sources out there on the web. Roy Spencer and Jo Nova are good sources, but there are plenty of others too.

wow..great info
I'll try to do it |
i agree, what has the world come to our days. i'm with you all, (i have been all my life) |
Don't use air conditioner too longer every day , the cold air also may cause global warming + high electric bill payment |

Seems like China and USA should think about filters for their industry...
Both together produce more than 40% of global CO-2. While the emmisions per capita in the USA are alarming. Filters would really help. |
