Hi Everyone,
I believe that Roulette should be removed from Lords of War and Money.
The problem with Roulette as it exists now, is that it provides an opportunity for players that habitually create a multitude of characters for unethical purposes. It is possible, using Roulette, to end up with a character with loads of money without having to resort to illegal transfers.
All a person would have to do is create many characters, develop them to, say, level 3 or 4, which doesn't take too long. Then bet as much as possible on roulette on a single number. If the bet(s) fail the character is abandoned.
Eventually doing this will result in a character with more than enough money to buy a TGI and more. And there is no need for conspicuous transfers or other traditional cheating methods. Essentially the character will be undetectable, except for admins carefully checking IPs.
I'm hoping that this thread will be missed by most of the actual cheaters that might be inclined to try this method.
Personally I don't think leaving Roulette in the game is worth the risk, as it is a mechanism that can be used by cheaters and could potentially drive away genuine players who suffer large losses but aren't inclined to create multiple characters.

I believe that anyone that creates more than 3 characters will be blocked by the admin. Unless someone really runs between 38 different internet cafes to make sure they have 38 different IP addresses to play with? And run between all 38 of them within 10 minutes to bet with all of them
And abandoning a character doesn't help since it'll still be the same IP unless you find a new internet cafe each time?
Roulette is like a casino, no one can force a person to go in and lose their money, it's a choice by the person. Genuine players won't quit because they have no gold, they will just stop playing roulette and enroll daily |

Gell, I totally agree. Unfortunately, it seems that this will not happen. So removing opportunities to cheat may help.

Takesister, I don't believe that the Admins regularly run IP checks. If this was the case Kushika5 and his/her legion of multis (and many others) would have been detected long before they were finally blocked.
And you would only need to change internet cafes until you found a "winning" character. Then it would be truly undetectable.

| Roulette provides for a short term gold incentive for the new player. Cheating habits will kick in again once the character has no gold, and then all the illegal transfers will start to occur again, so essentially its not roulette, but on the onus of the player not to cheat. |

Roulette is one of the best part of this game (actually this is one of the reason why I'm still here despite many disappointments in this game).
Roulette was a genius idea, because I think that Roulette gives them 70% of all income (many players bought many diamonds because of roulette). |

Obviously the people who won alot of roulette money will say yes keep it and people like me who lose roulette alot (I use to be a roulette addict) would say make it go. I'm starting fresh because of roulette it made my old account really poor losing by like 50k and if they won't take roulette away its simple. Just warn your friends don't play roulette and just play this game like its not even there. |
