__$$$$$$__$$$$$$$$$_$$$$$$$$$_$$$__$$$ | A sixteen year-old boy with tattered green clothes walks in a field alone. His long, blond hair covered nearly all of his blue eyes. His belt held a sword on his left side in a wooden sheathe engraved with patterns of curved lines.
Climbing a small, flower-scattered hill, he stretched his back and puffed out his chest with a satisfied sigh. He brushed away his bangs to see the village before him more clearly.
“Ha, finally.” the teen said with calm relief and a slight smile. He used his left hand to pull his sword out a little to reveal a round, blue gem in the middle of a part of the blade that curved outwards into two opposite points.
“You made it, Geia. I'm impressed.” the sword said, the cobalt gem flashing with sharp light for each syllable.
“Do you always have to pester me, Felixor?” Geia replied with a smirk.
“Yes, I have to harden you up in order to make you a warrior.” Felixor answered, it had the voice of a noble warrior in his prime.
Geia laughed a little and shook his head before continuing his walk to the village, shoving Felixor back into the sheathe to shut him up.
Once inside the village and walking on smooth soil, Geia walked neatly and kept his back straight. He looked poor but he hoped the villagers around him would give him the warrior's respect he figured he was entitled to.
He wandered around in the busy village full of walking people, admiring the healthy-looking buildings. It was strange that a village was so furnished, busy and large, Geia thought it must be on the verge of becoming a town. He looked at an exceptionally big building (for a medieval village such as this) with a sign that read 'Melonie inquiry'.
“Well, at least I'm in the right place...” he said to himself, he was beginning to think he hadn't gotten to his intended destination. He continued to stroll around lost as the crowd thickened. Geia stepped off the road where there was space to see and move. You'd think they were evacuating, or getting ready for a festival... |
