| Why can't I buy steel on the market | | Nobody can: you can't buy or sell it on the market. You can only buy and sell it on the map. | | why not cause I was at a factory and needed some steel if it was on the market I would have bought and sold it and enrolled in employment | The items you can buy on the market are those items you can use ingame: ore, gems,... to build; arts to use in battle. Items you can't buy, are items you can't use ingame: leather, steel, nickel.
New players may buy those useless items on the market and then discover they can't use it at all.
In the end, it's just a game design decision. |
