AuthorWhy is there no morale for gargoyles?
In the real HoMM 5 gargoyles are able to receive morale, why is this not here?

Nearly everything is taken as in the original, besides some slight changes (5hp more for anchorites for example), but the missing morale for gargoyles is really a big change.

What could have been the reasons for admins not wanting to have gargoyles morale (besides their wizard-hatred)?
i guess the game is not a bare copy of the original - the main idea was stolen of course, but it was freely and creatively devloped.
gargoyles have no morale because they are stone figures they have no heart, which could be said, and no blood, which could be poisoned (i hope they cant get poisoned hehe)
because this game is different from HoMM

The game developers seem to have tried their best to balance all factions with varying degrees of success.

I would assume that they felt gargoyles having morale would upset this balance.
This game exists for real, and one might think that a big company spent some money on it for development and aswell on long balancing.

Its pretty obvious that the few admins here will never be able to do as many tests on balancing than this company. So the reasons for doing some changes can't be for balance, cuz the overtook ALL (despite morale of gargs, 5 hp more to anchorites and offense only gives 5% normally) exactly from the original absolutely one to one.
The recruit counts and talents and their effects can be taken from the original easily aswell.

So there has not to be any fixing to balance, cuz if they take just the newest patch of the game it will be fine.

Still they did these few "balance-fixes" and i just wonder why ...

Basically because if you play HOMM5, you try to win the combat with no loss. Here, you try to survive hunts, and deal as much damage as you can do in pvp-s, loss is only the second problem. This might lead to balance fixes.

Eg: Imagine, you have ONLY gargs, in HOMM5. I think, you wouldn't attack hundreds of creatures, as they can't do too much damage. So you try to save your other troops. Also, wizards lack the ability to cast damaging spells as strong as here...

Lol, in the real game you were able to dish out 1000s of damage (and even more as darkelf with lucky spells) if you really wanted! Its HERE where magic sux!
In the real game a strong caster could kill Armies of hundreds of dragons with just some hundreds of gargs!
then play that game only...
Comparing the context of this game with HOMM 5 is stupid, especially when there are severe troop limitations in this game.

Given this troop limitation, one must consider how much a hero's buff and artifact can affect the outcome of a battle, and not the other way.

In any case, shouldn't this thread be locked? we're not supposed to request for faction balances aren't we?
Hm ... I just wanted to express that some "balance fixes" are strange, but its not allowed to complain about nearly everything, so i just did it this time :P
