Removes negative effects from your target stacks or purges positive effects from enemy stacks with a certain probability. The weaker the disperser is, the less probable it is to successfully disperse an effect created by a powerful caster.
Disperse chance = Basic% + (Disperser level\tier - Effect creator level\tier) * 3%.
In case of creatures, the tier is 1-7 for normal creatures, 2-8 for upgraded ones.
1) 'Disperser level' means combat, faction/racial, talent level or ... ?
2) In the case of hunt creatures, how do we know what 'Effect creator level' they are?
3) If I have Expert Holy Magic, does Dispersion works 100%?
4) If 1 of my troops has a zillion negative spells (Curse, Poison, Weakness etc) cast on it, and I have Expert Holy Magic, does Dispersion removes ALL the negative spells, even if I have only 1 Spell Power? If not, which will it removes first?
Thanks in advance. | 1) It would only make sense to be combat level, but not sure.
2) The effect creator level of creatures = tier. e.g. Genies' level is 5, Senior Genies' level is 6
3) Yes
4) Cant answer, never seen it being used :/ | 1. Talent level is the Basic%. Spell power is your answer for the disperser level. Okay, no more than 100%. :D
2. In case of creatures, the tier is 1-7 for normal creatures, 2-8 for upgraded ones. E.g., sprites are level 2 dispersers (tier 1 upgraded).
3. Already answered by #2.
4. All. | for the question #4, it's not guaranteed all. The dispersion success % is calculated on all of the spells, so sometimes it may remove one, or all but one. I learned this when casting sprite dispersion when hunting genies, one time it removed confusion and weakness, but not poison. | The effect creator level of creatures = tier. e.g. Genies' level is 5, Senior Genies' level is 6
2. In case of creatures, the tier is 1-7 for normal creatures, 2-8 for upgraded ones. E.g., sprites are level 2 dispersers (tier 1 upgraded).
Hmmm.. The formula is
"Effect creator level\tier" - is '\' means maths division? If so, and the above answers are correct, then wouldn't 'Effect creator level' and 'tier' always be the same number? Meaning, 2\2, 4\4 etc?
So, in the formula - Disperser level\tier - Effect creator level\tier ---> 'Effect creator level' and 'tier' means the same thing?
Spell power is your answer for the disperser level
I more or less believe CGSMCMLXXV's answer, but can someone else double confirm this?
Thanks. | It's not division, it's "or".
Only if troops are not upgraded. If upgraded, it's tier +1.
I omitted in my last post. In case of Expert Holy Magic and spell power equal with or greater than the caster level, you have all the negative spells removed, otherwise, each negative spell has its own probability distribution. | Disperse chance = Basic% + (Disperser level\tier - Effect creator level\tier) * 3%.
So if the answers given are:
Spell power is your answer for the disperser level
tier is 1-7 for normal creatures, 2-8 for upgraded ones
It's not division, it's "or".
Given the above, how can it be 'or', since 'disperser level' and 'tier' is not the same thing, and thus, not the same value?
Anyway, to enlighten a stooopid boy like me, can someone do a quick example using the formula with say..
1) a neutral hunt creature like Genies and me with Expert Holy Magic and 1 Spell Power.
2) a neutral hunt creature like Genies and me with NO magic talents and 3 Spell Power.
Thanks in advance. | Genie's tier level is 5 (gremlin(1),gremlin engineer(2),gargoyle(2),enchanted gargoyle(3),golem(3),modern golems(4),magi(4),lorekeepers(5),genie(5),senior genies(6),etc)
Your caster lvl is 10, so
1) expert holy level-- 100%+(3*(10-5))% = 115%
2) no holy level-- 40%+(15%) = 55%
Spell Power does not matter. | Disperse chance = Basic% + (Disperser level\tier - Effect creator level\tier) * 3%.
Here there is an abuse of language:
1. Disperser level or disperser tier. Effect creator level or Effect creator tier.
2. In case of creatures, the tier is 1-7 for normal creatures, 2-8 for upgraded ones.
Your examples:
1. 100% + (1 - 5)*3% = 88%
2. 40% + (3 - 5)*3% = 34% | https://www.lordswm.com/help.php?section=31 | Disperser level applies to lords (heroes). Disperser tier applies to creatures.
The spell description means to say that if a lord casts the spell, use his combat level, and if a creature casts the spell, use its tier.
This is one of a few spells where Spell Power has no effect. The others are Summon Phantom and Disruption Ray. Good spells to have if you have no Spell Power. | 1) 'Disperser level' means Combat level
2) The tier of the creature
3) Dispersion does NOT work 100%. The base % is 100, but if the disperer's level is less than the effector's level, this is reduced to below 100%
4) It checks for each spell on the creature spearately. The order which it checks is unknown
tpnxyjr is correct is you try to disperse an effect that the genie cast
1) expert holy level - 100%+(3*(10-5))% = 115%
2) no holy level - 40%+(15%) = 55% | 1) 'Disperser level' means Combat level
2) The tier of the creature
3) Dispersion does NOT work 100%. The base % is 100, but if the disperer's level is less than the effector's level, this is reduced to below 100%
4) It checks for each spell on the creature spearately. The order which it checks is unknown
tpnxyjr is correct is you try to disperse an effect that the genie cast
Sorry if this sounds like a pain, but are these the definitive answers?
I mean, even for 1), I have 3-4 different answers already. Is there no 'official' link to what some of these game formulas actually mean? Sigh....
Thanks. | for Jedi-Knight:
The official link is :https://www.lordswm.com/help.php?section=31
Read it yourself. | for Takesister:
Ermm... I have read it myself. If you see my 1st post, I copied the definition from that link. It doesn't explain what some of the words/phrases mean. Why else would I be asking here in the Forums? You know what I mean now? :) |
