| poiseners are very good if you know how to use them. u can poisen they enemy and they are also good at mellee |
I think it's good to build assassins if you have the gold, but it's not critical.
They have great initiative and that helps you to have an edge over your opponents, helps you to take retal for your lizards and poison any irritating walls of tier 1 creatures |

| did you ever look on top players list??? you can find very very very much of dark elves there! for me dark elves are best faction and I think I will change into dark elve soon as I get money (and high skill level for demon)! |

The top level players do not show you how useful poisoners are, as they can exploit lizard cavalry's 'poke' attack using single stacks of shrews. I suggest you look through random DE combats from levels 5-10, and you will see how important poisoner upgrades are in the context of DE troop mix.
And to give my opinion on post #6 (though its not directed at me), DE isn't exactly worth playing when compared to other races due to its relatively useless faction ability based on the current game balance. Play other factions at lower level to rack up the fsp b4 converting to DE. |
| the problem is the numbers of the Poisoners is too low to make a great damage with poisoning, melee and range .. :) they are just good in taking out retal, but the bandits are enough to take retal ... Even if u become a MAGE-DE .. rogues and shrews are still ur best troops .. :) |
| poisoners are very good for taking retal cause they have good initiative... way better than bandits... I think it is good to have like 2 poisoners for taking retal but no more... better rogues(schrews)... |
