Author | new rule? |
"Because of the interest in the topic of 'bumping a thread' and 'where is the rule':
1.4. Moderators have a right to settle additional local rules in forum branches, if those rules do not contradict with the game rules.
as such, the moderators (yes plural) have decided that Bumping or Upping topics in all topics aside from Trade and Services is illegal.
If you feel that you are being targeted by this, remember you can always send URL's in order to fix the solution.
End of discussion." |
just because you got annoyed in chat its not really a query is it |

oops my mistake you can delete post 3 |
Your clan thread got a warning and you complain about it. Read This.
5. Actions of moderators and administrators.
5.1. Administration's actions and decisions are not subject to discussion. |
none of you answered it. is it a new rule |
bumping topics in C&A has always been against rules,
you can do it in Q&H and GGF and other forums if required. flooding and bumping impatiently for faster replies is also not right :/
and i don't really see the context of this post, were any of your posts prevented from being bumped? |
https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=1859598&page=17 343.sorry its clan fourm |
as guru mentioned, this is not a 'new rule'. it has been mentioned on numerous threads and in addition there is also the rule (which apparently wasn't clear enough...):
4.1. No Flooding. Flood means posting messages not related to the discussion matter; messages not carrying any sense; messages acknowledged useless by the moderators/administrators; messages violating the local rules of a forum branch. Flood is not considered a malicious violation, however such posts can be deleted and the author might get banned.
but, because ppl continue to abuse it...there will be an official rule made for players shortly. no official time has been delcared nor will be given for impatience. |
however such posts can be deleted and the author might get banned
I understand this rule and support it totally, but the "new" rule we are talking about is not the authors getting banned but the clan getting punished by having its thread closed regardless of whether the person posting is a member of that clan or not. |
Okay then. Why not give anyone who bumps a clan topic a 24 hour ban. Simple as that. And then, when people start to see all these people receiving bans from bumping the topics, they won't continue to do it. |
Currently the mods are not stopping bumping except when it is blatant, in the C&A, or in any forums that disallows it. If you want this to be an all-out rule, make the suggestion in the I&S thread.
for Dizbe:
Actually, I think they would start complaining about it and say that the mods are against them.
I would love to have a bump rule that says:
"1.X: Bumping or 'up-ing' any post without any sensible text or anything that doesn't add to the thread like just typing "up", "bump", "+1" or "^" is prohibited. At least post an entire paragraph of text telling what you are doing
1.X.1: "Double-posting" is disencouraged. At least wait till someone else has posted to the thread before adding to the thread unless you have important addendum that affects the previous post" |

Not so - bumping has now been expressly banned in the "clans" forum which is why this post was created. Mods have stated that if a clan post is bumped then it will be locked.
#11 - I agree totally. |
Funny that there is a clan bump rule but some clans can spam your mailbox night and day with unwanted invites. No problem though. We will abide by these very "important" rules...and...still remain at the top. We do not spam to advertise the clan, we use the clan thread like we should. |
for Modi:
You can complain to the clan leader, you can blacklist the people spamming your mailbox. The invites are governed mostly by the clan's own rules, not the forum rules. |
for Takesister:
what can you do if clan leader ignore your mail. You never can blacklist all these players keep sending invite to you. It may not nice though.:) |
for nnt000:
That's the problem with having the rules being governed by the clan. Wish there was a way to stop it, but there really isn't.
But that isn't the main point of this thread, so back to topic. |
Glad to see that this rule is now posted in "clans" topic.
I hope clans which break this rule like: #258 the sacred army

Will have the same attention from mods like #153 has. |
