Unfortunately, there exists players that want to make a quick buck, so to speak. Thus the prices on the market.
Most players that that have acquired stronger equipment would sell their left over swords to get some of their gold back would have used up their old swords to 0 durability before selling or are using them for less dangerous hunts that does not require the more powerful sword to save durability on the more powerful weapon.
Even if you need ore I could spend 4 minutes going around the map buying the resources and still save 200 gold easy!
The problem is that some people don't want to travel for various reasons. It could be they want to :
1) Keep the hunt they have currently on, since traveling passes the current hunt.
2) Not want to leave the location since their next Mercenary quest is at that location
3) Fear of getting ambushed by a thief while traveling (wastes time and durability and possible loss of gold despite potential xp gain)
I apologize for the situation, but that is how it is. If someone posted on the market a cheap sword, someone would immediately buy it and try to sell at a profit anyway... |
