Author | The Examiner Ruleswell Event |
Purpose: Help all lords, old or new, to learn the laws of the kingdom.
NPC: Examiner Ruleswell
Frequency: Once every 6 months
Date: Randomly chosen
Storyline: Examiner Ruleswell is not satisfied with how the guards are tackling crimes, some are drunk, some are asleep, and some are not at their posts at all! So Ruleswell hopes to improve the order of their kingdom by educating the citizens.
Event: Ruleswell appears in each lord's character page when the day comes(where the tutorial was), and asks the lords if they wan't to earn a prize. Ruleswell asks the lords to study the laws and return to him. He asks the lords to close all other appilications and tabs in order to take the test. Some examples of problems can include:
1) How many accounts may each lord create?
O A. 2, being 1 main and 1 mult
O B. 3, being 1 main and 2 mults
O C. 3, no restriction on additional characters
O D. Unlimited, 1 main and rest mults
2) Where should one report missbehavior in the tavern and battles?
O A. Mail "Secretary-Violations in tavern and battles"
O B. Mail "Lexa"
O C. Mail "Shebali"
O D. Report in the "Violations in tavern and battles" forums with the obligatory complain form
3) What should one include in the obligatory complain form? (multi choice)
...
Blah blah blah, yeah, you get the idea.
A lord must answer a number of questions right to reciece their reward.
Some examples of reward:
Raffle ticket, number depends on the score on test, from 1 gold to highest prize of 10 diamonds
Gift Box: open to choose from a random varity of rewards, reward increses slightly for every level up, example of a level 4 reward can consist of:
2500g/Defender Shield/Potion of Obvilion/1 time free roulette entry ticket of 2800g/15 Woods/+3 Thief Guild points
etc etc
And there will be another twist for older players. A player cannot prepare for the test if its the second time they are taking the test. Examiner will just randomly pop up some time and forces you to take the test or pass the test directly.
Tell me what you think, I think it is a very good and encoriging way to help people, but not forcing people, to learn rules. | +1
good idea... useful, entertaining, rewarding... | +1 | Giving some freebies is an excellent way of having people learn things. Like game rules. | Nice one.. +1 | +1 | excelent idea! +1 | +1 | Purpose: Help all lords, old or new, to learn the laws of the kingdom, and memorising them!
Thanks for the positive feedbacks, hope admins can have a look at this, cookies for everyone!

(_)(_) | Ok that was supposed to be cookies, it failed, dont missunderstand it xD | nice idea! <goes to study law> | nice idea! +1 | 10 diamonds no diamonds...
but the idea is nice! | nice idea! +1 | good idea...many great ideas on this forum, and admin is no where to be seen, anyways +1 | Is a great idea, but I see a few problems:
1) People, once seeing the test, can go to "About the game" and copy every single info there into a notepad/Microsoft word, and consult the word every time. Following that, if there is a second test, they can re-consult the Microsoft word again.
2) If by some reason admins manage to add a "virus" into the player's system, stopping any other programs, the player can open up another computer and see the "About the game" section, therefore getting the info they need.
3) If by any way the admins ban the IP address, the player can simply phone a friend to check for help, and ask for questions
4) If by any way the admins become serious enough to ban EVERY IP address of the player AND all of his friends, the player can just ask his friend to go to a public place which allows free use of the internet and see the required info.
Solution:
30 sec per question. ONLY. And that STILL fails to stop 1, 2 and maybe 3. | Solution:
7 sec per question. ONLY. And that STILL fails to stop 1, 2 and maybe 3. | +1, interesting
I hope that xp will never be as a reward :) | A too short time might make people who read slower than other people fail to finish reading the question in the time limit given and so fail, not because they lack the knowledge required, but because they failed to read finish the question and select the answer. | +2 |
