| split magis for maximal damage, never bother to protect magis. Put your eggs(gargoyles) in a cornor at the right moment, meaning your eggs would only need to take damage from 3(or 2 if large creature) sources instead of 8 in the center of the battlefield. Stonger stacks should be blocked by weaker stacks. Aslo, get more defence. |
U should have more magic arts rather than might attack, like cape of spirit and combat staff .. :) and for talents : erudition : add spell .. :) U have a nice hat .. :)
for tactics : follow Hiddenshadow .. he is the best wizard as I know .. :) |

O|x| When your eggs are in the cornor they only expose to 3 tiles
x|x| which means up to 3 enemy stacks can hit you at once

O|#|# When an enemy creature is a large creature, only 2 stacks can hit you at once

x|x|x| And when your eggs are in the center 8 stacks can hit you at once.

The aim of all this is make your gargs take less damage, so you can finish all your mana before your gargs get killed, which means game over :-x
Hope you understand better now, and as Randhy said get more SP will help greatly. You dont just get 8+ damage fore every arrow you get 32(or maybe it was 24[?]) at faction 4.
