Author | Of round shields, wooden swords and potion of oblivion |
After using my multi for some form of market sampling, I have come to the conclusion that new players are pretty much unaware that round shields, wooden swords and potion of oblivion are ready for purchase at the artifact shop.
While my sampling purely focused on round shields, a check on regular market players who sell the above-mentioned items at inflated prices have revealed a similar trend.

Those items can be bought at any part of the map, and they do not have the demands to group them in the click-wars category. Thus I would like to hear from players how it would be possible to bring about greater awareness to new players about the artifacts available from the shop.

Well its pretty obvious from the tutorial isn't it?
Perhaps make those particular items unable to sell on the market? |

I do not think that they need warning. Ideally if we were to warn them at all we would be warning them about the waste of money it is to use arts at such low levels as 3 and 4. They know there is an artifact shop in the game, they just need to seek it out. No need to ruin a perfectly good merchant opportunity! |

I have no qualms about facility produced arts. My bane of contention is on artifacts found in the artifact shops, esp round shields and wooden swords, as those are much more specifically targeted for new players. The thing is, do they even know that an artifact shop exists in the first place? |
do they even know that an artifact shop exists in the first place?
ofc if they are finishing the tutrial they have to buy a shield fom the shop at lv 1. and since market is not available till lv 3, they definitely know that one exists.
as Dizbe said, no point ruining a business opportunity :p
off topic: you will be surprised to find how many of the lv 7+ arts are also sold at market for 500+ profits! |
I find the artifact shop hard to understand. There is no clue that you can only see the link for buying if you have the necessary resources. If you have 100,000 gold and no stone you wont see the thing that cost 100 gold and 1 stone and therefore go to the market and buy the thing for 5,000 gold.
A good tutorial should explain it for better show always the buy link, but say that you are lacking resources. |
U know what? Theres no point in getting arts too early, cause it would cost too much for a novice who is earning just 170 gold per hour. |
