Author | Why?! |
Why do my elven bowmen sometimes just lose the ability to shoot? I was fighting a battle and then suddenly, right at the time when those 2 shots from my bowmen would have put me in the lead, I lost the ability and had to attack in melee.
I still had 8 shots, and in the next turn I attacked him quite normally. But I had 2 bowmen less and that's why I lost...
So can someone please tell me why? |
can we have the link to this fight? |
were there enemy troops standing next to your archers?
if your shooters have enemy troops in any of the adjacent tiles, they can't shoot and will do melee instead. |
not really sure what you are asking,
but could it be that there is an enemy beside your bowmen, that's why you can only have melee attack |
Just watched your last duel.
You are a level 4.
What is the penalty / disadvantages / weakness of 'shooters'? |
for Sylfaen:
If you are refering to the previous duel you had, shooters cannot shoot if they are in contact with an enemy and have to do melee.
Try to make sure no one reaches your shooters and they can always hoot until they run out of shots. |
Thanks, that was the problem, yes. This might have lost me many a battle...
Thanks again! :-) |
Just a tip. I watched some of your battles, and apparently, you don't know how to split yopur troops yet. That's why your bowmen is always exposed.
Maybe you can start another thread and ask how to split your troops before a battle start. |
<-> Before the battle should do the trick. :-) |
he did split his troops in his duel. he split his forest keepers |
he did split his troops in his duel. he split his forest keepers
Oh, me bad then. I was watching some other battles and also the Gb he was in. His EBs was just standing there in the open. :p |
for Jedi-Knight:
I guess he EBs were standing in the open because he didn;t know before this that they needed to be protected from contact.
Ok. QATC, I guess |
