thx for answer :) |
any answer why this happen? |
please answer :)
I really confused with this lost.. |
i think with the shrews it was because he had more shrews in the stack |
Thieves usually have the upper hand in initiative I think. |
initiative random goes until x.9 other words if initiative is 17.0-17.8 its like 17.0 but if is 17.9 it like 18.0 so that was just random |
why do u suggest that darkcanis?
thx for answer :) |
coz i know that... |
it's random or depend on skill faction? |
random |
hello. initiative only means the order of how the troops are arranged in the beginning. If u have 8 percent more initiative it only means ur stacks move 8 percent more turn than the enemies stack (Not alot)
Once read, message me and we can battle like old times ;D |

thx |
for Someon3:
no...i u have 9% u can |
yes,that was I mean..8% last battle,I need to improve 1% more :D |
yep) |
You have 10% randomness on the initiative. That means, even with lower initiative, one troop can be ahead on the ATB scale. |
In short, the initiative of troops only gives a better CHANCE/% that your troops will move first at the beginning of battle, ity's doesn't mean it will definitely go first. It's like, you can buy 1-36 for roulette, the chance of hitting the winning number is (very) high, but there is still a chance you won't win if the ball lands of the number 0.
So at the beginning, there is a some randomness in the program, that lower initiative troop(s) can get to go first.
I hope u understand better now. :) |
Well, if you don't like the racetrack analogy you can think of the initiative bar as 10 litre buckets and the initiative value as the rate you pour water into them in litre/minute. If the bucket is full the unit gets its turn and we start with an empty bucket for this unit.
At the beginning of each battle the buckets are filled randomly with up to one litre, so if you want to go first certainly with a unit it has to get more than 10 litre in the time the enemy gains 9, so if you want to go certainly before a 17.2 initiative creature you need more than 19.11 (= 17.2 * 10 / 9) initiative.
If you have less than that, but more than your enemy you can calculate the probability of going first like this (1 - ((17.8 - 17.2) / 17.2 * 10))^2, where 17.8 is your initiative and 17.2 that of your enemy. |
