yea you reduse the defens eof target by 3 how ever sp has nothing to do with it
if you have basic darkness you reduce 4 defense in you have advacned darkness you reduce 5 def and is you have expert darkness talent you reduce 6 def |

No additional Effect. Casting it with 20 sp and 1 kn or 0 SP and 1 Knowledge has the same effect.
What makes the difference is what level of talent you have Darkness at. |
