does it happen even on mercenary quest raids? Look at this Guardians raid by MasterTI. Towards the end of the battle, there is a wave of 4 x 117 guardians that come out with speed 6!! Is this normal? |

Not necessary. There are ways of increasing Hero's initiative.

oh and though not exactly neutral, the caravan creatures also get +1 to speed every 10 combat turn.
usually most of those fights don't last as long to see the effect, but don't get surprised if they get more speed.
1 combat turn = 1 turn by any stack of 10 ini ignoring morale/other ini modifiers. |
oh ok. I just thought that the rule didn't apply to raids as the waves are independent. You kill one then another one comes out. Thanks guys! |

10 hero turn : 1+ to neuts speed
If use items increase hero's ini.
10 ini creature in behalf of the hero after 10 moves can increase neuts by 1+

Actually they could put turn counter on top of screen to avoid such mess!!!!! |
