If you hunt assist goes AFK and you still win. Does this count as a solo hunt or assist hunt? really i want to know will i get the 10% growth or the 30% growth next time i hunt that creature? thanks for your time. |
n=N*1.69^f
n - Number of creatures in your next hunt
N - Number of creatures in your current hunt
f - Amount of faction skill point you earn in that hunt |
does that answer what i asked? |
it answers what you asked. the formula holds true for all hunts solo or assist
if you get 0.5 fsp, then your hunt growth is 30% |
if you get 0.5 fsp, then your hunt growth is 30%
Without going into the maths, is it possible to ask someone to assist you in a hunt, and yet DON'T get 0.5fsp, and thus WON'T get the 30% for the next hunt? Yes/No?
If Yes, anyone knows how to do it?
Thanks |
BTW, I noticed at the end of my hunt, it says I got 0.33 skill points. -
Is the 'skill points' stated here the fsp I got?
If yes, since it's below 0.5 fsp, then I won't get a growth of 30% in my next hunt? |
for post 5: if you ask for assist you usually get less than 0.5 faction skill point (fsp) so the growth is less than 30%.
for post 6: skill point = racial point = faction skill point = fsp (these are just same names we use for the 'skill point' awarded at the end of battle'
since your fsp = 0.33 your growth is 1.69^0.33 = 118.9% about 19% more |
i assisted someone in a hunt, he go afk, and i fought alone.
we won, i got 0.25 fsp, he got 0.
according to the formula, his next hunt will have the same amt of creatures.
in this case, he got the -2 luck penalty, but got the gold for the hunt with no increase of creatures, correct? |

ah yes, this is a bit tricky, the next hunt WON'T be the same,
otherwise this can be exploited in so many ways (esp to get hunter arts without raising HG,xp etc)
to avoid that, there's a 5% increase in the hunt number. |
Lemme get this right: So that '30% increase' I read about on other threads is actually the MAXIMUM increase you can get for the next hunt.
The increase can actually be (much) lower than the 30% --> it depends on the skill points/fsp u get at the end of the battle.
But like #9 said, it can't get lower than a 5% increase. Is that absolutely right? :) |

"But like #9 said, it can't get lower than a 5% increase.." ADD --> ..even if you go AFK, or do nothing in the hunt, and your assistant does everything.
Also, according to the hunt formula, what's the maximum skill points you should get in order NOT to get MORE than a 5% increase in the next hunt?
Thanks in advance. |

1: 30% increase is when you solo hunts, that's what 1.69^0.5 is it's 130%
and 0.5 is the max fsp you can get in hunts. so 30% is max.
2: i haven't experienced the 5% increase, it was extensively worked out by Xeno and Zya, but working it out, it seems 0.1 fsp leads to 5% increase.
now i'm not sure what the hunt figures will be if at the end of combat:
hunter gets 0.08 fsp
assister gets 0.42 fsp |
i should also mention at this point that the hunter guild points you get depend on the faction points:
HG = 2*fsp
so if you solo HG = 2*0.5 = 1
if you ask for assistance it's less than 1 usually in range of 0.4-0.6
and for all hunts you assists HG = 0.1 |
Thanks for the info all who answered!! |
