Author | salary of clan workers |
is it illegal to give a salary to your clan recruiters, chroniclers etc. or not? just want to know, never did it :) |
there is no rule against that and many clans "pay" indirectly their recruiters by offering some benefits for their jobs. |
A "salary" is just the name you give to a donation. It is counted like any other donation - see rules for the limit.

But good clan members work for the success of the clan, not for gold :) |
A lot of clans give salaries for services rendered, actually. We don't, but I have seen many do so ^^
So the question is would the 30% gift rule would be applied to the clan treasury value? I think so. |
#4:
nope. there is no rule concerning the clan but the one referring to the taxes. |
all the clan taxes together or just one of the clan taxes? |
#6
there is a rule that limits the amount of weekly taxes you can collect from your mates

Players end up transferring gold from clans, as there is no "Clan ATM Card" that I know of...so either A. The leader/treasurer cannot transfer more than 30% of his/her wealth per month per game rules, or B. The leader/treasurer cannot transfer 30% or more of the clan balance per month per game rules?
Meh. In either case, most successful clans/leaders have enough resources to be safe from both scenarios, but I am curious about it anyway. |
no such rule
but.. there was a rule saying that max tax per person can not be more than 300*combat level so maybe salary can be the same? |
#7:
put in the transfer description: "clan transfer: <further description>". in this way you as a leader/treasurer don't enter in the transaction, but you act like a third party (buffer) and you are not subject to the gifts rule since it's not your money what you give. |

the tax rule is referring to what the member is forced to pay per week. there is no rule regarding donations and there is no rule about how much a clan can give to a player. keep in mind that trying to "wash" money for a secondary character is prohibited by the rules (no transfer is allowed direct or through a third party). |
CGSMCMLXXV So, you managed to get this thread unlocked, huh? |
for ANTI-hacker:
is it really that way? Looks like the best rule to apply here. So it's for example:
300 x combat lvl 6=1800 gold/week
right? |
right?? :) |
for RGWarior:
It is your choice. There is no rule regarding donations and there is no rule about how much a clan can give to a player
But I believe if there is obvious gifting with no service, there will be blocking of characters |
cheating through clan is also not allowed so multis cant recieve gold through clan so multi cant get salary |

Define "obvious gifting with no service". How do you know that the members of a clan did not agree on helping a brother/sister in needs? How do you know what are the conditions for that help? Let me give you an example. One clan with no thief decides to support one member to start his/her thief guild within the condition to get cheaper (or free of charge) invitation for the clan. This is a long term contract and you cannot see it in any transfer log (anyway, many from here wouldn't believe that even if this information would be added in the transfer description), so, what are you doing in that moment? You block a player in which a clan invests and the clan loses all the invested money. How fair is that for the clan? And if a clan is forbidden to have such contracts, then why in the world is a clan for?
My point is that once you try to avoid cheaters using the clan to do money laundry, you kill the idea of a clan.

I already said that in post #10. |
Define "obvious gifting with no service".
Whatever the admin deems it to be. They judge and have final word.
How do you know what are the conditions for that help?
It should be written in transfer comment. Else it will be deemed suspicious. If it is written, it will be judged by admin as to whether it is within their opinion of "ok"
A clan does more than do contracts for its members. There is the emotional and community support it provides and the opportunity for weekly tournaments organised by the clan itself. There are future uses of a clan yet to be implemented. |

I would like to know if it's legal or not by an admin, I really want to be sure it isn't illegal so I can't get banned... |
