AuthorHunt challenge increases too fast?
As some of you might already know, the number of creatures in hunts increases 30% each time. This is a pretty huge exponential factor; the number would increase by a factor of 10 every 9 hunts. Is this a sustainable rate? Have the Admins given this any thoughts.

Case in point: our top player, immediately after reaching level 13, still had to do all hunts with full arts, with lots of enchantments. And it appears that she maxes out the amount of exp (6500) with each hunt. Something is wrong if you max out the exp everytime. How long will it be before she has to stop playing because everything becomes impossible? What about the next level? Will she gain enough additional troop to keep up with the hunt challenge?
The game isn't all about hunts. It's been a while since I've done a hunt myself...

But there are many who enjoys the hunts, and though what you are saying is true, and if what Geryon is saying is true, then u are not exactly answering his/her question.

You are at a level where you can still do a lot of Thief ambushes and Merc quests. I too, have not run out of things to do, even though I keep getting red hunts and have to pass. But eventually, those becomes pretty impossible too. What then?

And the higher you go, the less players you have to battle against, and to assist you in hunts.
Even you lose even with good arts and assist; then it's time to level up. That's what I did when most of my hunts were ! difficulty at level 7. Many of those hunts were 100% more than the first time I see it at ! difficulty too.

I see you haven't done any TG. TG is a good way to level up. You can also do group battles as well.

well they have also over 2000 tg so its not same they win all on lvl12

It's the admin's way of telling you to do something else besides hunting. Besides changing the way hunts grow in difficulty would throw a spanner at game balance. Some factions are better at hunting than others and some factions benefit from Hunter's guild points more than others...

Are you sure hunts increase at the same exponential rate on the Russian server as this one?

I cannot look at the Russian server to do any comparison (I don't understand Russian), but let me give you some rough calculations. There are 91 possible creatures you can hunt. Suppose you did 4000 hunts, and assume you did each of those creatures equally, so it's about 44 hunts per creature type. That means, starting from, say 10 bowmen (the first bowmen hunt you get at level 1), if you now encounter bowmen, you'd face over 1,000,000 (one millìon!) of them. Are you seriously telling me that this is doable? Things must be a lot more different on the Russian server.

I'm not one to shy away from PvP battles, but like I said, the higher you go, the less players you have to battle against, so non-PvP battles (hunts, merc, thief) might be more and more your only options. I can name at least one player at level 11 who does only non-PvP.
for those who registered early, they got more HG pts than those came later.

yep, same for exp/sp, because of the halves and thirds, and assist without exp

I can't follow you on that, suppose the increase was just 9% the top player could do three times more hunts till they get 'unbeatable', but he still would, so at the next level he would still need full arts and get 6500 exp. The players strength also grows exponentially.

For the sake of your calculation .ru has 121 huntable creatures.
to my calculate, if you start with 10 bowmen, you may meet 6000 bowmen after 44 succesful fights withou any assist.

6000 bowmen is quite reasonable to defeat.

Don't know what you're calculating, but I would calculate it this way:

You fight 10 * 1,3 * 1,3 * 1,3 * 1,3 .... * 1,3 (43 times "* 1,3") bowmen.

That's 10 * 1,3^43 ~= 790000 bowmen (Geryons exponent was one to much, because he missed the first fight against the 10 bowmen as one of the 44)

Well, I said that's the number you would get the NEXT time you face bowmen (after 44 hunts), but yeah you get the idea.
for Geryon: Yeahh and for level 13 and Hunting level 6, everything is challenging .. :) But For exps 6500, imagine this .. they level up faster .. and at level 14, everything Red will be medium and green or even grey .. Like I did .. :)

And at level 14, the HG 7 will be just medium or red not challenging anymore ....

Everything will be much easier when Our COmbat level raises .. :)
If that were always the case, I wouldn't be too concerned. But I don't think it is. I'm seeing the trend already. Up to level 8, I saw what you said: hunts became white and green when I gained a new level, and red near the end of the level. But starting from level 9, I don't remember getting a white hunt anymore, except for ghosts and apparitions, which occurred because I have a personal dislike for them and kept passing them when offered, so they stayed white. And then I just got level 10, and I'm getting green, yellow, and RED hunts, this early in the level. If this keeps up, when (and if) I turn level 13, I'll be seeing the same thing as our top player: hunts start out as red and require full, enchanted arts to do.

Is noone concerned about this? Does anybody care?

I don't think many care, going through level 12 EVERY single one of my hunts was red or (!). By the end everything was (!) but i still continued. Its abuot learning new recruitments, better arts. Getting lucky with luck/morale/amount of stacks makes big difference.

Some of the hunt records i beat at 12 i used normal arts when the previuos record holder had enchanted arts, i only for simple fact i got less stacks and better morale/luck.

Its all about being lucky.
play PvP, play thief, play quests, hunt monsters - and do that in circles and you will level up fast and won't have trouble with monsters...

ask for assistance if U don't care about records (as I care) - only 15% bigger stash next time...

AND MOST IMPORTANT ENROLL!!!!!!!!!!!

cash flow is most significant of all aspects in this game, cause if you have rough cash, you can have it all....

... and most important of all: don't watch on colour of dots : it represent difference between your stash and record, it doesn't tell you how hard fight is...

for instance: my golems stash on lvl 11 delf is ~4200 and it's yellow dot... trust me, it's not yellow (medium) - 1 wrong step and you're dead, + you can't kill it with just 1 weapon (mithril longsword...)

play all and you'll progress rapidly...
I, for one, am very glad that there are many people who go before me. With hope, by the time I get to level 13, they'll be a lot more level-13 players around to play against, so that I won't have to worry about having nothing feasible to do other than enrolling in Labour Guild.

And that's a pretty faint hope. I see less and less people play each day. I'm guessing that we're losing players at a faster rate than we gain new ones.
