i think it was Gothmog, a playable character in the Dungeon Master game... i was young ('bout 10), and his looks (black cape with red eyes in the shadow)and name inspired me (i didn't knew The Lord of the Rings back then...). left a deep impression on me...
An other one is Acererak the Devourer (from Tomb of Terror and Return to the Tomb of Terror), the half-demon apprentice of Vecna himself. He became a demilich (the first and probabely greatest ever) and spent thousands of years working on a process to fuse his essence with the negative plane and gain control over all undead throughout the multiverse. I like this guy... =)
Other favorites are my own RPG characters: Zuscht, Zarebrant (I use that name several times), Zharrt, Zwift, Zenechept, Zirt, Zumagort, Zerit, Zumchermit, Zobriant... but i never SAW them =(

| I love the whole crew from Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King, especially the hero because you can name him whatever you want and he's the quiet type. He doesn't have any lines. He just does his job, which is to kill enemies and find a way to lift the curse that's been placed on his king. |
