AuthorThief quest recently became hard again?
I found that the thief quest has became hard again. I was lv9 and the carvans I met is more or less the same as my friend in lv10 a month before. And I have only TG2 but he has TG4 at that time.

Have anybody noticed this?
I noticed it too. But my friend is TG3.

I thought this was just because I lost too little compared to my friend.


Caravans get harder as you win, but they also get easier if you lose.
they never been easy; so how you define they are getting harder :)
There are different tipes of caravans. Each time you lose, this tipe of caravan became easyer. Only this tipe. If you win, this tipe becomes stronger.
So, i think, you just see the same tipes of caravans. Early or later you'll meet other caravans or make this tipes more easy =)

You are assuming we are talking about 1-2 caravan fights.

I'm referring to the increased difficulty across the board. In the beginning my win ratio was 47wins vs 0 losses. Now i'm doing 2 wins vs 3 losses.

Along the way I've actually been doing various things to actually increase my win ratio, but these little adjustments only temporarily increase my win rate before sharply dropping.
Pantheon, at the begining you was at lvl 8 as min. At lvl 9 caravans became much stronger, and player dont get good bonus in troops or arts.
It seems to me that the caravans are increasing much more quickly in difficulty with every win. Instead of just 5-7% (which is what everyone is saying), the current rate I think I am experiencing is about 10% or more. I don't recall fighting caravans where the difficulty spikes up so quickly.

But, I might be wrong though :/
mine are still fairly easy o_O and i dont wear full arts
also if you gain a combat level caravans becomes much stronger

being thief guild 5, I can say that even with full arts it's almost impossible to win almost all caravans (for a demon, so it will be a long hard road to tg level6.

i like challenges, but not impossible tasks;)
I agree with MoonVampire .. It is because U won and won before . then the caravan will be much harder and harder .. ^^ that's why u lost .. But honestly some caravan are IMPOSSIBLE to kill .. ^^ then try to challenge urself, how many troops u can kill .. ^^

MoonVampire, actually when i started thieving i was level 7. but i've already accounted for the level change difference to the caravans. you didn't think i was using the same troops, talents, and arts as each previous level, right? :)

i'm just saying that the caravans are progressively getting harder across the board and not just 1-2 types of caravans. this could just be because i've beaten all the types multiple times and thus they all get harder. In your post#4 it sounded like you were saying only 1 type of caravan get harder while the rest get easier.
I think there might be some other factors influencing the strength of caravans other than win/loss records and combat levels. Maybe higher TG gives harder caravans. Or maybe that 5-7% increase in caravan difficulty after each win isn't a flat rate and the % increase goes up if you win too many times.
When i started thiefing at level 7 i found it easy. It continued to be easy at level 8. But when i hit level 9-10 it became impossibly hard. Now im 11 my caravans are easier again. Why??? i here you ask.

Because you get better arts and new troops.
While it is true that i found level 9 harder than level 8 and level 8 harder than level 7, i found that within each level the caravans got much harder as well. This is despite the fact I kept on improving myself: talents, arts, and strategy during each level.

because you have diamond upgrade to get lizard assailants, which is the most notorious one in the game, so you feel easy.

i thinks factions are not well balanced. if look at ru server, almost all lvl 14 players are DE, that means something. a little off topic.
fractions are balanced just shrews and lizard assailants make a good combo
Elf: has EFk and sprites
Demon: has mistress and super imps
Barbarian: wolf raiders mostly
Dark Elf: shrews and Liz assailants
Knight: Crossbowman
Wizard: extremely powerful spells
Necro: Big armies that are rebuildable

Does this seem balanced for theif?
mistress comes at level 12, and it's cleraly better ti use cerbs in place of imps for ambushing;) (but cebrs comes at level 9 or 10 depending if you use diamonds or not)

What combat level are you talking about?
You only mention Crossbowmen on Knight... where is Guardian or Monk?

I've seen Knights fighting on Thief Ambush. Doing Escort while pressing Defensive button on Guardian is dangerous =) Those who have the same experience will know what I am talking about.
I couldnt agree with you more, h4end, the I have met a 45+ def guardian...

It seems pretty difficult.but for DE, you can make lizard active, for wizard, the magic works ok, but for the other fraction, it seems very headache^^
