Author | Hunting question |
The creatures I hunt keep getting stronger and stronger, now they are all exclusively red threat level when I hunt. I read in another post when you kill a creature the next time you see them the number of them increases.
My question is how do I get the number of creatures to decrease? Because if I cant decrease them I cant raise my faction level anymore unless I do assisted hunts or get my character higher in level. |
Well because of an update that happened a while ago, the numbers no longer decrease. |
So theres no way to get them to decrease? I should just give up hunting until i reach a higher level? |
I have the same problem as you do :/
You could always try changing faction or keep assissting in hunts.
Also, you could try some mercenary quests although lvl 4 isn't all too good for MQ. |
So changing faction would reset the number of troops? |
No but it would be easier to complete hunts with other factions because DE isn't that great at hunting until shrews. |
aww that sux, I will have to level up then, but i really wanted to get a good HG standing for my lvl and get some master hunter arts before I started on pvp. |

How slightly? |
For some reason, I stopped doing hunts for a while, I just kept passing by and now the past few hunts have all been no colour/green. I don't know why that happens, just thought you should know.
P.S a while=between weeks and months |

Did you level up? When you level up, the same hunts are noted as lower difficulty. |
Seems there is some conflicting information here, is there anywhere I can read up on it and what changes have been made? Does it change if i change location? |
actually not getting easier hunt is only for the east bay (i think) as the new rule say the east bay living creatures activist society has made a slight change.
so not getting easier hunts and geting ocassional dragon hunts is only in east bay

for chopper1Piece:
Number of creatures you meet at hunt does not decrease. It increases with each successfull hunt (increase depends on fsp you get, up to 30%) and it stays the same if you lose or win a co-hunt (when you and fellow player hunt together)
When you hit the celing for your level (hunts are no longer doable) your options are: wear better artifacts (if possible) or level up. Changing faction may help against certain monsters (like switching to DE w/shrews can help you to improve your zombie record) but it will not decrease number of monsters. Level up is the one solution here. Or hunt assist, if you're determined to improve HG but avoid next level for as long as possible.
The amount of growth in case of victory: N=n*1.69^f
n = original amount in hunt
N = new amount net time
f = factions skill points that the main hunter gained during the hunt |
Thank you for the information shebali, are you sure that the creature count doesnt increase in assisted hunts?
Is that both when I assist someone else and when I ask for someone elses assistance? |
are you sure that the creature count doesnt increase in assisted hunts?
If you're helping someone, _your_ count does not increase, but _their_ count increases, depending on how much skill points they recieve in that hunt (formula above) |
So either way, it increases if you win. |
it increases if you win your hunt, not someone elses hunt. |
ok |
