Name: Potion of abdication (working name, can be changed)
Type: artifact/potion
effect: allows a player to destroy all faction points in one of his factions and transfer HALF the amount into his current faction. has a -2 luck effect after applied for a duration of 1 hour.
cost: $2500
this is for the people who worked on a faction but now just want to work on a single faction from now on, just like PoOblivion isn't used by everyone, not everyone will be using this potion either, just those who made a mistake in training their faction, like only people who misplaced their parameters use oblivion. | | You know it is actually a good thing to have few points of every faction because of a little damage resistance. | +1 to idea.
1) Potion of abdication (basic)
cost: 2500 gold
effect: transfers Half skill points from every fation (leaving other half)
2) Potion of abdication (advanced)
cost: 25000 gold
effect: transfers all skill points from all other fations
3) Potion of abdication (expert)
cost: 250000 gold
effect: you can specify the exact amount of skill points for each faction (i.e. redistribute the sum of all skillpoints, also no need to switch to other faction)
Because of the high price nobody will use these potions often. | For Potion expert : -2 luck, -4 morale and -10% initiative .. that will be fair for 3 hours ..
For Adv Potion : -2 luck, -2 morale and -10% init for 2 hours
Basic : -2 luck, -1 morale and -10% init for 1 hour .. | @3
the prices should be high, but not insanely exorbitant that nobody will even think about thinking of using one.
for basic: 2500 gold
for adv: 5000 gold
for expert: 10000
and for the transfer effect I meant that HALF of points designated would be transfered to the current faction, the other HALF goes away, which is for basic. advanced and expert lose less of the transferred points, for advanced is 30% lost, and for expert is 15% lost. | I don't agree with losing skill points - too high price (nobody would use such potions, because it would be the worst strategy to do unless it would be experience loss instead of skill points loss :) ).
But I agree with ANY temporary loss.
I also agree that the prices I described are too high (but 2500 gold is really too low price for such an important change).
for basic: 5000 gold + some temporary loss (morale, luck, initiative, etc.)
for adv: 20000 gold + some temporary loss
for expert: 40000 gold + some temporary loss
20000 gold really isn't too much (you can also use two basic potions to transfer 75% skill points for only 5000+5000=10000 gold, I think 75% is enough if you want to switch factions often). |
