Author | Journey of a Warrior |
So I decided to start writing a story about the game. I'm not the greatest writer, so I just want your feedback.
I apologise in advance for any Multi-posts I do, Many of the chapters won't fit in one post.
The story runs in chapters, to save you having to search through the forum to the next post, I will post the new chapters exact link here. I will write another chapter every 2-3 days (Depending on how Busy I am. )

I'd love to recieve your feedback, ways I can improve, good things, bad things etc. | Prologue
I shoulder my bag, strap my shield to my wrist and pick up my sword. Simbaku is my name, and this is my story.
When I was young, my Father was crowned the greatest warrior of all. It was an honour for my Father, for my family, for the Empire. Most of all, it was an honour I wished to have bestowed on me. And today, 82 moons later, I shall set out into the world, to begin in my quest of becoming the Empires greatest Warrior. | Chapter One
I take to the World.
The Empire has always held wonder for me. I had never left the Grand Capital. It was Father's orders; he didn't seem to think I was ready to take on the world. He was often gone, for days, for weeks. These times were always the hardest, the waiting, often wondering whether or not he would return. He always did, galloping through the palace gates on his white steed, loaded down with treasures and battle souvenirs, always brimming with wonderful tales to tell. How I anticipated those tales. Wonderful and descriptive, he would sit me down by the fireplace and tell of wonderful lands he had plundered and vicious monsters he had fought; Monsters I thought could never be real. Swarms of massive Hydras and Senior Genies, in my mind they could never be real, until, out of a chest he would pull a great mangled Hydra Head, the spoils of these great victories. These were the stories that would full me with longing and a great need to become the greatest warrior alive.
2 moons ago, a cloaked figure, turned up on a Hell Horse at the main gates of the Capital. He bought with him urgent news, Ill-tidings that spread like a plague through my heart. My father had been snatched up by a brigand of Necromancers, while on a mercenary’s quest. Where he is now, nobody knows. I was prepared to leave straight away; I thought this would be my chance to show everyone what I was made of. I had to find my father. A group of men were leaving at dawn. I approached them that night to see if I could go. They told me to “Get lost” and said it would be “Too dangerous for a little boy”. Well tonight I take my stand. Tonight, under the cover of darkness, as the moon rises higher into the sky, I approach the gates, unsupervised and without permission, facing my destiny, and not knowing if I shall ever return. | Chapter Two
Hidden Lies
The first rays of sun bounced over the mountain, Dawn. My family would be waking up from their beds; I could imagine the horror on my Mother’s face when she went into my quarters, only to find a note. Guilt filled my heart, “Am I making a mistake?” My mother needed me. It was hard for her when my father was gone.
I had been walking for some time now. My decision had been to head towards Yellow Lake. Since my father had been on a mercenary’s quest at the time, perhaps they had some knowledge of his whereabouts. Nothing had bothered me so far, there were a few spawns on the side of the path, I decided to steer clear of them, they looked deadly. I forged on up the path, keeping an eye out for danger. About Midday I was confronted by a Dark Elf. I spun on the spot, sending forward a few recruits to his stack of Bandits. They hardly damaged them. Before I knew it, the recruits were dead and I was knocked to the ground. I opened my eyes to find myself staring up at numerous stacks of rogues. There seemed to be no way out of the situation, I would die then and there. I closed my eyes. Perhaps they were right, maybe I was too young to be out in the wider world. Whoosh! I felt something whizz by, a cool breeze on a windless day. The rogues were gone. I stood up to survey the battle field. The bodies of the rogues were scattered around me. What was it ten that had saved me from my doom?
“Are you alright young squire?” A voice asked from behind me.
I turned. Their, standing bold against the horizon, was a round, bald wizard.
‘Thank you for saving me err, sir”
“Please, call me Baru”
It turned out Baru was a traveling Merchant on his way to Yellow Lake to sell his wares. Together the two of us continued on our way. With envy, I watch Baru take on a stack of Griffins with ease. He turned out to be a great traveling Companion, wise, witty and full of many wonderful stories. It was almost a shame to leave him when we arrived at the city. He went his way, towards the local tavern; I went my way, down a winding path towards the mercenary’s guild.
They say the Mercenary’s are great warriors, fearless, courageous and always ready to offer their assistance. This was not the impression I got when I turned up asking about my father. A pack of drunken brutes was what they were. I asked them about my father, and after what they said, I wish I hadn’t. They told me “Darius was a fool, weak, pathetic and lousy”. “He was never a warrior; he was a thief, a sneaking, dirty thief. A master of identity, he was said to have ransacked the best caravans and had stolen their possessions.” That was about all the lying I could take, I backed out of the room, the sound of their laughter ringing in my ears. Could it be true? Could all I know about my Father be wrong? I take a deep breath. This journey has just begun. | Nice :) Do write more ^^ | cool.I wrote some stories one time but they werent very interesting.:(
