AuthorOffensive Talent For Necromancers
Necromancers
An ancient and mighty faction, the undead forces make even the most experienced warriors' blood run cold. Their strong side is melee fight where an accent is made on attack. Being lords of death and masters of dark arts, necromancers possess such unique abilities as raising the dead and vampirism. The morale doesn’t apply to dead beings: it is impossible to encourage them by the prospective of victory nor to scare them with death. For beginners and those who hesitate about their choice, necromancers are a perfect faction.

That is the faction description for necromancers . However , read this important line :

An ancient and MIGHTy faction
AND
Their strong side is MELEE fight where an ACCENT is made on ATTACK.

Why do necromancers lack the offensive talent if it says in the description that we have an accent for offense ? After all , it's not like necromancers have any powerful chaos damaging spells , and reviving becomes mostly obsolete after lvl 8 because they'd be dead again before they can even move . Furthermore , poison doesn't work on other undead , elementals and non-living creatures .

So , I beg that the talent system be reconsidered for necromancers and offensive talents be added . The hero can't cast any powerful instant-damage spells and the creatures are like punching bags if the hero concentrates on mana and spell power if they are revivers or poisoners .

After all , isn't creative playing styles encouraged in this game ? So , necro gameplay shouldn't include only reviving and poisoning , but should also include creature offense . This will greatly diversify gameplay as a necro . If a dark elf can go from chaos magic casting to offense , why can't necros go to the offensive as well ?

PS : Sorry if my thread sounds like female-dogging , but it seems unfair that other factions have offensive talents but necros don't . (excluding wizards , but hey , they can cast strong direct-damage spells and have miniarts to compensate)

Some will probably say that expert erudition fixes this , but getting +1 or even +5 attack(expert erudition , lvl10) is not the same with possessing Advanced Offense (+20% melee) + Battle fury (+1 min and max dmg) . After all , erudition is usually used to increase spell power , not attack .

So , if it is not too much trouble , I hope that amdmins will look into this and perhaps diversify gameplay for necros .
