AuthorTurn 0.5
"Tristiam casts Curse on Rat 2008 for 0.5 turns."

0.5? - How many turns this amounts? - half turn?

If middle part as this would be calculated with the skill Curse.
it is 1/5 a turn.
yeah half turn. if u hunt alone, just count 5 box after your hero's turn.
so, if the rats come after hero's and attack u, the attack will affect by curse, but if after hero's turn comes your 3 stacks of zombies, skeletons, and vampires, then ghosts, then rats, then the rats will be cured by then.
err 1/2 a turn NOT 1/5!
F4bz Ex:
1 [Hero] "2 [Rat]" 3 [BOX]
"0.5 = 5 Box? The magic has its effect."

1 [Hero] 2 [BOX] 3 [BOX] 4 [BOX] 5 [BOX] 6 [Rat] "
Without this effect since 6 in the box after the hero?
1 [Hero] 2 [BOX] 3 [BOX] 4 [BOX] 5 [BOX] 6 [Rat] "
Without this effect since 6 in the box after the hero?

errr.... bout this, i don't really know, but i think the effect lost.

1 [Hero] "2 [Rat]" 3 [BOX]
"0.5 = 5 Box? The magic has its effect."

bout this, only apply this when you're alone. if u do group battle, the effect will last longer than 5 boxes.
I can only use the magic once in a target? - The target that I use the magic, "curse" for ex. will stay with her until the end of the battle or death?
the easiest way to understand how 0.5 turn works is to keep ctrl-clicking 2 times on the rats (in your case) after every move (not turn). this way you can closely observe the effect of the 0.5 spell.

but i personally suggest you to get +1 spell power and not make "half-way things" on the battlefield ;}
for Tristiam:
F4bz Ex:
1 [Hero] "2 [Rat]" 3 [BOX]
"0.5 = 5 Box? The magic has its effect."

1 [Hero] 2 [BOX] 3 [BOX] 4 [BOX] 5 [BOX] 6 [Rat] "
Without this effect since 6 in the box after the hero?

This is totally wrong. It is possible that there will be no "BOXes" between the hero and the Rat, and the spell will still l wear out, just as much as that there are 20 BOXes between them, still within this 0.5 turns.

A turn is a space of events between two heroes or creatures with initiative 10. All heroes have initiative 10 by default, so the easiest way is to look at the hero's position. But even that way, it is impossible to discover, how many % of a turn have already passed, that's because there is no way to determine the each creatures position on the Initiative bar.
The best way in this case will be to follow Georgia's advice and to Ctrl+Click the cursed creature after every action to see how much have passed.

And if you need a better idea on initiative an turns, here's an ancient article =)

So, a turn is the amount of time it takes a 10 initiative creature to get a second turn from the point it plays its turn...each "box" it gets more and more initiative, and when it gets the right amount (which i have no idea what it is) it gets a turn. So if it's 75, then a a 15 initiative needs 5 intervals and the 10 initiative one needs 7.5, so eventually the 15 creature will go twice before the 10 initiative one.

That's correct, the only thing is, the "BOXes" i.e. creature icons on the scale are not the scale itself, it is wrong to measure the intervals with those boxes.

The initiative bar only displays the order in which creatures may act, not the timing of their action.
When i use spells that have 0.5 Duration what i do is after every turn i Ctrl+Left click twice on them to see what the status is.
