I have read all the help I could so far, help.php and this forum but I still cannot figure out how *exactly* the economy works here.
1. Why can I sometimes work and sometimes not in a location?
2. What affects the 'amount you can buy' ?
3. How does selling raw resources to machining/production actually work?
4. Is there a better definitive resource to answer all these Q's in 1 place? The page eludes me.

Whether you can or can't work at a facility depends on:
- that facility having gold to pay you
- work place availiable
- resourses required for production
2. What affects the 'amount you can buy' ?
You gold/resourses and good availiable. Note that you can't buy more that 20 units of resourses in one attempt, and only 1 artifact. Of course you can buy another one, then another, until you run out of gold or production runs out of stock.
3. How does selling raw resources to machining/production actually work?
Just like that. You come to machining, sell them wood/ore/whatever and it produces steel/nickel/magic powder.
Then you buy s/n/mp and sell it to production, that makes artifacts out of it. You get a small profit for your trouble.
4. Is there a better definitive resource to answer all these Q's in 1 place? The page eludes me.

your money and how much they have in stock and how much room in inventory. though for arts i think that it's always 1. just in case you buy 10 by mistake x.x

selling price that you see is a typo. just say how many you would like to sell
there.https://www.lordswm.com/ecostat.php | 1. You can only work in the location where your hero is stationed at. Thus If your hero is stationed at Great Capital, you can only work at the mines and facilities at Great Capital, and not at East Bay. If you intend to work at East Bay, you will have to travel there in order to work.
2. The amount you can buy, besides based on your amount of gold, is based on max unit caps per type of resource. For minerals, the maximum you can buy in one shot is 20 units. If you have the gold needed to buy more than 20 units of say crstals, after your purchase of your first 20 units, you can then buy the next 20 units, so on and so forth.
3. When heroes provide their labouring services at a production facility, units of resources are used as well. You can then sell your resources to those facilities at a slightly higher price (compared to buying from mines or steel/nickel facilities). For example, the signet factory at East Bay buys wood at 184/unit, earning you a 1 gold profit if you bought your wood at East Bay's sawmill, which costs 183/unit
4. No idea how it eludes you. Seems pretty fine to me most of the time... Mods, admins, and forum readers will help answer your queries. So keep a lookout over at threads in the forums
