Yes, probably.
Since I'm 3rd level in the merc., I've not recived any element. So there are 5 sure quest without elements + much many when I was at lvl 2. At least 13 like you or more.
I think the number of elements given is less than some time ago. Maybe there are some elemnts every day (this would be a good system to prevent economic disasters) and now that we are a lot of high level, we have to divide the elements between us. But I'm only supposing it... |

i have completed 84 quests and my last reward was approximatively at my 60th quest.
i have approximatively 25 consecutive quests without rewards.
i have:
Windflower: 1
Witch bloom: 1
Abrasive: 1
Meteorite shard: 2
Toadstool: 4
i have a total of 9 rewards, for 84 merc quest cleared.
merc quests probability of being rewarded is 20%
it means that for 84 quests i should have 17 rewards instead of 9.
9 rewards for 84 quests, it's 10.7% rewards for me instead of the normal 20%
i think i'm a lot more unlucky than you StorminMerlin :p |

| 13 wins without an element? It took me 20 wins before I received my first element(meaning 19 without elements), and it was a lousy toadstool. And if I didn't see this thread, I would have thought that the chances are around 5% to 10%. |
| Well im merc 3 and through the whole of level 2 i got 0 elements. Then when i reached merc 3 they came flowing. My first quest at lvl 3 got me moonstone. Since then i have had crystals shards and allsorts. yesterday was my best day as i completed 2 quest and got 2 moonstones. I felt so happy but havent had one since. |

It`s really random. I`d rather say that probability of taking element is nearly 15%.
And another thing: the main question is incorrect, kz in every type of quest, every time U won - U take some (50-750 in my practice) gold :0)) |
we really don't win enough gold.
when you wear full arts at a battle for a 35 gold reward, you lose gold.
i need arts to do merc quests, and i don't win enough gold with merc quests for my arts.
nearly all my money from hunting and labouring is spent on arts for merc quests.
i don't consider gold won as a reward: gold won on merc quests only reduces a little bit their price.
the rewards of merc quests are elements, and aditionnal skill points when reaching level2,4,6. |
