AuthorBandits
There is a Dark Elf unit called Bandit. It says this under it: Shooter. No melee penalty.Range penalty.
Can somebody explain this to me??*
It means only 1/2 damage, than Bandits shoot
how do you make the banits attack and rouges stay where you attack someone

say you are on 1,4 and you go to 4,4 to kill gargolys how do you stay there and not come back
SHIFT + click on target
also:
CTRL + click - view parametrs of unit or hero
CTRL + doubleclick - view effects on unit
errr .. what do bandits really do ? they say no melee penalty . range penalty . so iif it mention both .. what does it really do ?
they are good for melee, so better to use bandits in close range, as it will do 100% damage. if they strike from out of range, 25% damage only. in range (6 tiles) they will do 50%
no melee penalty mens they are do same dmg in melee combat as when they shot, range penalty means they shoot at full dmg only very close range like 3-4 squares away. basicly it means bandits are not rly a ranged unit and thats why they should be treated as melee unit with possibility of weak ranged atack.
range penalty means they shoot at full dmg only very close range like 3-4 squares away.
are you sure? in about the game it says
Range penalty:
This creature deals half the normal ranged damage (25% in case of distant shots), but does not have melee penalty.
it doesnt describe anything about 3-4 tiles range
unlike this one, it is described well that at very near range deal greater dmg
Aimed shot:
Ranged attacks against targets within 3 tiles take greater ranged damage from this creature
