As i know only three faction can use magic as well such as

well... they do have magic... but more in the form of buffs then attack
a lvl 5 elf only has magic punch as an attack
it deals 20 damage, while our normal damage is like 12.... |

...and that's the best damage spell we'll get too. We only have the wasp swarm in level 8 on which deals less damage than magic punch (but moves the target on the ATB scale).
