AuthorHunting assistance
I've met some people here who send half of the hunting reward to the assistant. The game doesn't have any such rule otherwise it would send directly to the assistant. This rule was invented by some greedy players and it's not fair and more than that it's somehow against the rules (you are allowed to make a loan, but not to transfer money from one player to another without a trade).

Helping in hunt will give the assistant:
- faction points (max. 0.25);
- 0.1 hunting points;
- increases the chance to get a hunting artifact (the more you hunt, the more the hunter chances to get a hunting artifact increase).

Getting a hunter artifact by assisting someone doesn't mean that the artifact would have come to the main hunter if hunting by himself/herself.

I humbly plead for the players to not encourage this behavior further on.

Thank you!
Paying for hunt assists is not compulsory - no one is obliged to pay you for hunt, as well as you do.

but you can send part of the loot to the assistant, its not against the rule
for CGSMCMLXXV:
3.20. Any kind of payment for combat is forbidden. Rewarding a player for losing or promising such reward for losing, entering or quitting combat will be considered as contractual combat.
Payment for assist in hunt is not considered violation. Make sure to add corresponding comments to the transfer. Such payments cannot exceed the total gold equivalent of looted gold and resources.

See the last 3 sentenses?

Assistances spend their time, sometimes - their artifacts; so normal players always pay for help in hunts.
Official reward havan't enough attraction to find a helper when i need someone help me. Especially when i am confront a difficult hunt battle that bear completely annihilated risk. Just keep your behavior if you don't like share your money to helper, but please don't judge others not like you.
It's not a rule to share.
It's not against rules to share.
It's not against rules not to share.
To share or not to share is every players personal choice.

Shareing was not invented by some greedy players . It's something people do out of appretiation, or to ensure their partner doesn't "steal kill", or for any other reason.

The subject of sharing on hunts has been muled oved and over again, what's the point of this post? Those who split loot shall keep doing so. Those who don't split loot won't start doing so.

Pointless topic.

Topic starter, did you create it because someone asked you for gold after assist?
@Shebali, nope i think he started it because I sent him gold for helping me....

@ CGS....
I am sorry but I have to disagree...sure they may be some people out there who EXPECT payment for hunts... but I can assure you that is not the case with most.

I Believe it is a nice gesture and a good tradition to say thanks to an assistant if you feel they helped you well. It is NOT an obligation just a goodwill. I have helped in so many hunts and NEVER expect any gold but if I get it its a good feeling not because of the gold but because of the fact that the other guy trully thinks i did a good job.

So my rule is simple if I get assistance I say thanks with actions by sending half the gold provided the other person is also that polite and has send half gold to his or her assistants...if they do not believe in transfering gold to others then i do not transfer gold to them....simple and effective...

HAving said all that I respect your views and will NEVER send you gold again, I looked at your transfers and mistook YOU RETURNING the previous guys money as a transfer on your behalf... all you needed to do is send me a PM....
for Harros:
Thanks for clarification. But then, the problem is solved in a most easy way - CGS... just has to put one line in his char's profile - something like "Don't send me gold for hunt assist" And voila! People no longer bother him with transactions. Simple, and effective.
i wonder how could you be against sharing?
assistant gets no exp, so half the gold can compensate that and the time spent afterwards healing and regenerating mana.
If the assistant gets loot then theres no real moral compulsion to award them with gold too.
11-06-08 12:16: Transferred 45 Gold to Harros : don-t do that anymore with me, pls
11-06-08 12:12: Received 45 Gold from Harros : thanks for hunt

Loooooooool
You guys make me smile. I haven't sent/accepted any money from the hunting assistance. As a mercenary, I went to the mercenary guild. You don't get rich by having 50 gp from a hunt assistance. If you are not patient enough to earn your own money, you will not be patient enough to construct your own combat strategies, so, you will make enough mistakes to lose more than a hunt "appreciation". Think about this!

Harros, thanks for clarification. I appreciate it. Still, you were not the only one to send me "reward" for my assistance and that's why I started this topic.

Charming. So, basicaly, anyone who takes gold sent to them for assistance can't hunt well? Funny guy. Too bad noone told it to this player

I think every players in hunting assistant have to discuss some STATEMENTS about the GOLD sharing and what will do if the assistant get an art ... For me that is FAIR if the Assistant get some skill points (more than the hunter ... 0,4 for assistant and 0,1 max for the Hunter) .. the Hunter get the gold and exps and the assistant get the SKILL POINTS, fair enought I think ....
hes just envy on them =)
lol look at him, level 5 with 1k gold mwhahahahaha
for TheHolyPaladin:
Please please please show me a log of battle in which hunt assistant gets 0.4 fsp. Pleeease ^.^
lol look at him, level 5 with 1k gold mwhahahahaha

That has nothing to do with any of this. Some of us spend a lot of money in getting arts and stuff. It isn't surprising or funny that someone only has 1k gold. Whe does that prove anyway concerning this topic?
Thanks, Zyanya! And thanks to all who show here a real spirit of a true hero (as the name of the game was at the beginning).

For those who take money for assistance, please, don't take it as an offense, but I consider you just opportunists without any self esteem. If you have any pride left in you and you want to be a mercenary, go to the mercenary guild and show your value as a strategic. You will be rewarded for that by the game itself and you don't need to beg for 50 gp every time you help in hunting.

For Shebali:
Anyone who take money from hunting assistance can be a very good hunter himself/herself (hunter not equal strategic). Asking for money for his/her help makes him/her a beggar. I meant no offense for any of you, but if you are in this category and you felt offended by my opinion, please, accept my apologies, but I am not going to change my mind about such a behavior.
for CGSMCMLXXV:
Asking for money for his/her help makes him/her a beggar.
You receives help in killing monsters which you can't kill alone and aren't going to pay for help.. Then I can call you only very greedy person...
For Erlemar:
So, it's not enough that the game is rewarding you for assisting, you want more! Who is the greedy person here? If it isn't be fair enough the assistant's share, why don't you ask the developers to implement directly the money share rule? Or, even better, why do you enroll yourself in helping if you know the game rules?

Before calling me greedy, check in how many hunts I assisted, in how many hunts I asked for assistance, how much money I earned by assisting, and after that you can call me greedy. You have even an example in this topic of how much "greedy" I am.
Asking for money for his/her help makes him/her a beggar.

i think any person assisting deserves some gold.
specially when they use arts to help you... and necros who assist often end up losing some skeles from their precious reserve..

i find absolutely nothing wrong in sharing...

i always share half the loot even if the assisting player doesn't ask for it as a token of my gratitude...
Nice of you! There are very few cases in which you have to wear artifacts as assistant. As necro, they lose and gain skels all the time (almost), so, there is a balance also for them. I watched a hunt in which the assistant was necro and afk. The main hunter won the fight and the assistant got skels. Is it fair for the main hunter? Should he ask for a recompense for fighting alone?

If you offer a gratitude, that's very nice of you, but, usually, that gratitude comes from the "unwritten rule" (to cite someone who sent me money after my help) which many assistants make claim of it during the hunt.
