no, it is completely random.
though in my experience tougher battles have given me more items. |

Check the RULES then go to SETS under artifacts.
"The probability of getting an artifact is determined BY THE HUNTER'S HERO LEVEL. The higher the guild level is, the more probable it is to find an artifact. Thereupon, new hunters' guild levels ensure finding better items. Artifacts found have unique properties and can be kept to gather ammunition sets."
I recall another page which gives more information and exact percentiles, but it will take me a little bit of time to bring it up. If I am able to find it I will contact you via private email.

TO 22PATTU :: i have a suggestion for u .. to increase ur lab skill to 2, hunter to 3 and ur racial skill to 4 before u reach level 5... or (in my word : u will be PREMATURE) at level 5... and at level 5 u can loot some master hunter arts to strengthen ur troops .... that will be better i think ..
