Author | Blindfold tournaments hopeless for elves |
Why? Simply because all team up to destroy bowmen and fk and than it's game over |
Try turn off the diamond upgrade and go to tournament again :) |
agree with dallandra!! |
Yeah, and there is a topis where the necros say the same bout themselves
what is the truth?? |
the truth is that the necro is more powerful than the elf and can kill elves 1st |
eh not true my cousin is elf and can beat necro it depends the stratergy i get beaten by elfs sometime |
but not in blindfold battle |
i always get ganged arrrrrrrrrrr |
for Dallandra:
Try taking sprites instead of bowmen.
For everyone:
Necro are good for winning this tourney - their raises=an awful lot of troops -> ppl are afraid to atack them.
Elves - good DD, low on HP -> they die first, but they can do some serious dmg(esp. elite fks) before they are killed. So elves are good for earning skill points. But not for winning. It's just how this tournament works. |

Yep, you just discovered what elves are using this tournament for } |
for Erlemar:
cut the bullshit, 2nd upgrade is one of the most powerful weapons if you care of them and use your brains |
Winning is impossible, but i've nearly always been the one who make the most skill point in every tournament fight. So no winning possibility but some good xp and sp |
Oh. My. God. I cannot tell you enough. I've had blindfold tournament where elf (prepare yourselves)- WINS! oh my god! How is this possible!? Very simple. Elf bows and druid kill most ranged unit or in demon's case half of wolf hounds or almost all spawns, and half of succubi. Then fks get stoned along with bowmen. try to kill bows but hopeless...Bows finish wolves, spawns get one hit at fks, then druids finish succubi. Fks kill spawns. Game over. Against a necro- WITH EFK? Your kidding if you can't win. One elf killed necro and lost 12 EFK, that's it.
Shebali you are completely wrong. I am never afraid to attack necro. Knights aren't afraid. Necros aren't afraid. Elves aren't afraid. Wizard's aren't afraid, and barbarians aren't afraid. Oh yeah, that one battle I had with a DE, the DE attacks the necro. Hm, maybe they aren't so scary?? Elves have never died first in my experience, always win or second to win. THe only time out first was when elf play vs. knight and barbarian. And barbarian play vs. elf and me.yes, elf was out first- when teamed!!
One more thing. Elf whoops necros ***. Even if bowmen don't shoot first. Druid give bowmens stoneskin, skellies kill like 3-4. If they shoot first, kill like 60 skellies. Next shot, kill half or maore vamps, of ghost gets in range, ghosts. Necros are just target practice for elves. And if the vamps or ghosts get near, fks with stoneskin murder them (undead already weaker, + stoneskin + might have been raise (so less numbers and hp), + they are already hurt! |
Not playing elf my self (Combat lvl 5 Wiz), but I have drawn a few conclutions from the games a participated in, during this tournament...
1. There is no need for skill, or I should rather say, skill has litle impact. Doesnt mather if you are the most skilled player of the 4, if you constantly get ganked by 3 players you are doomed to loose. I have experianced this and so have some of my friends. You do however get the opertunity to chose who will win or atlest who will end third, not much of a comfort thou.
2. Low HP races got an insane disadvantage. Yes they do initially make more dmg, but that will wear out long before you have won. Races who depend on ranged dmg is at equal disadvantage, by the time they have handled one oponent, one of the others will have made it into close combat with your units.
3. Most players doesnt play to win, they play to avoid getting last. This meens that most players will join in at ganking the target that gets hit first.
4. If you have the fortune of playing a game where all players play to win, atleast initially, skill does however count and any race can win.
5. This kind of tournament isnt something I will waste any time and gold to participate in. I could just as well put that gold into the roulette and save me the time and frustration of getting gangbanged 2/5 of the time (Most likly got larger chance of winning at the roulette as well).
All this said, this is somehting I experiance at lvl 5, and it might be an higher percentage of players that actually plays to win in the higher lvl, so the game might actually be one of skill there, but at lvl 5 its not. |
@Xerfer
I belive the game is completly different at lvl 7 contra the lvl 5 Shebali represent.
I am also playing at lvl 5 as earlier stated and I can say out of experiance that elfs do indeed have a hard time winning. Only once have I seen an elf win, 3 elf and one Wiz (me), all elf unloaded on me, after that it was quite obvious that an elf would win. But besides that one time. Nope havnt seen it happend in the 10 games I have played during the tournament. |
i always get highest skill points at level 3 for DE, mostly 3-4 skill points and others get 1-2 but i never win and thats because they kill my rogues first :( |
last time I did a FFA with a necro in it, me and a DE attacked the necro, and a wizard just started taking me down while the other 2 of us were attacking the necro, end result - necro wins (I think) |
i think DE is very good in 1v1. |
http://www.heroeswm.com/warlog.php?warid=472066502 --> conclusion: the only way an elf[6] could win is when, by some unknown reason, everybody decide not to attack him/her }} |
think winning in blindfolds-battles depends on your strategy but much more on the strategy of your opponents...
on lvl4 with necro i do have good chances to win if my opps played 'shooters out first'
but normally one opp waits without much losses for the headup against me (that means 2nd for me...) or all others shoot down necro first...(especially iof there only one nevro in match...)
so mb blindfolds are hopeless for elves but they are also hopeless für all other factions if opponents are in agreement bout the first looser.... |
