That means one of 2 things:
-some monsters killed themselfs
- you killed some of your creatures |

| You volleyed your own griffs. Killing own (allied) troops cause a penalty on the skillpoints earned. |

| Volley is a "Bowmen" ability. That fires a range of 3x3 but only deals 50% of its damage. |
| when mages use their reflect talent they wont get skill points either. I think thats kinda strange. |
