afking is not a game rule. you don't have to play.
False. You have to play. That's the reason why AFK brings a penalty in the first place.
The problem is that this penalty is applied to cheats and victims of bad network alike. Admins chose the side of the latter. As a result, AFK penalties are rather weak and AFK people common - way beyond what you would expect from network issues, I guess. |
| In my opinion, there's no penalty for afk'ing anyway, because -2 luck for an hour just means they'll go and do something else until it's worn off. There needs to be a proper penalty otherwise it'll just keep happening. |

I hate afk-ers as much as the next person, but then what penalty can be enforced which will also be fair to those players who are genuinely facing network/power failures? |

| I hate afkers so much and I wish all of them are banned, until I become one of afkers yesterday. I fight with a Demon. I almost won the battle: 10 ghosts and 23 zombies vs. 3 demons when I suddenly lost the connection. After I re-logined to server, the game was over and I lost the battle and exps. So take easy because not all afkers intensionally afk. If you don't want to play with them, just put them to your blacklist and don't play with them. |

| That admins think that penalties would be unfair, I have heard this suggestion before and I really like it. Keep track of turns missed and games dropped from. I know I would play anyone in 1v1 that has dropped out of 50+ games from afk. |

But this woud result in an increase of the number of battles they had to suffer -2 luck. Right now they only have to play something else for 2 hours and come back then, so there is hardlky any punishment at all.
At least they can't evade the punishment if it is atributed to battles instead of time. |
I just wish I had some way to know how many AFKs a player has had in the last week... and then we could set the AFK setting on our battles to limit their involvement.
0 is too harse... I have been afk sitting at my keyboard and not know it.
But 1 or less afk in the last week would be a good setting for multi player battles.
Also... I would not assist a hunt on a player that went afk a bunch of times recently. |
