I am having some trouble, I know this though. When you get +1 defense that means you get 5% damage reduction up to 50%. Vise versa for Offense. And luck is just 10% chance for double damage (aka +2 attack)
So my question is, how does +2% initiative or +1 moral stand up to that? Anyone know the formula? | How do you get "10% chance for double damage" into "+2 attack"?
+2 attack is about equivalent to +10% damage though, if that's what you meant?
Initiative adds to the troops response-time in combat, making them have their turn faster. There's a full thread about it stickied... I suggest you read thatone.
Morale makes them have their turn faster. There's a 10% chance for the morale to occur for every positive point in morale. | +2% initiative is, well, +2% initiative. so if a troop has base initiative of 10, it will get 10.2 initiative. of course when a combat starts there'll be a random (up to 10%) deviation from the base initiative for each stack. you may want to check the on-top message in this forum to learn more about initiative.
+1 moral gives 10% chance to moral boost. when that occurs, the troop moves forward by half cycle on initative bar, meaning it'll gain next turn twice faster.
BTW, +1 defense is not exactly 5% damage reduction, it is a bit less than that. since the formula is 1/(1+0.05*x). for example if x=4, you get 16.7% damage reduction, not 20% |
