SpartanKingz, if you click around the map you will find different options for working and other activities. Some things are only in specific locations (such as the Clan Registration at the Great Capital, or the Mercenary Guild at Yellow Lake). All depends on what you are looking for... | | choose locations there is always free places for work | there are 3 locations worthy of consideration as a "home location" in my personal, and very humble noob opinion.
the middle location is nice if you are looking for a decent number of hunter assist missions. these are great as they are the only way i know of to increase your faction skill (and hunter skill) without gaining experience. some people love to stay low EXP and high faction skills to make it easier to win battles vs other players on the same level. i personally see this pursuit as relatively pointless... any gain in relative ability (or loss in relative ability due to speedy EXP gain) will self level out when you actively start playing against other humans.
the northern location is perhaps the best for guaranteeing that you can always find work. i never ran out of places to work while i stayed there, between levels 1-5. often being able to work at the 200 gold per hour places as there are some popular items sold there, thus the facs dont run out of cash, thus work is relatively free flowing. this place also has the bonus of being the furthers from the southern location, which i have found to be the busiest (perhaps tied with the central location, but atm u can get far away from there!), due to the merc guild. the relatively lower amount of people in this section is what leads to all the jobs being free. nice.
once you get to level 5, the southern location is another place which is worthy of note. the merc guild is a great place to keep you busy - think of it as a 3rd string to the low rent players bow. here, instead of just work and hunt, you can work, hunt and cherry pick the best missions. 3 things to do instead of 2. dont bother till lvl 5 tho.
the east and west locations are relatively none descript, i only go to those if there is a merc quest there, or i want a partic artifact on sale in those locations.
all that said. im going to go kill some hobgoblins on a merc quest. raid. what are my odds? :p |
