Dear HeroesWM community,

Any character who achieved combat level 5 can now learn talents of own faction, perfecting his or her physical and magical performance. You can choose your talent build in «Talents» section of the Character page. Please do not forget to click "Apply" after selecting the desired talent build.

General concepts:
Talent wheel is a visual demonstration of all available talents of a faction and dependences between them. It is divided into circles (by talent classes) and sectors (by talent groups). Circle count begins from outer (4 total, plus the center talent).
A sector is a region that includes talents of one group, each sector of a wheel has a different color.
The first circle includes primary talents. Each of them has 3 levels of mastership: basic, advanced and expert.
The second, third and fourth circle talents, the so called secondary talents, grant an additional advantage that generally fits the concept of a related primary one.
The unique racial talent is positioned in the center of a talent wheel.

Each talent has its cost measured in points. The amount of available points depends on character's combat level and obeys the following formula: 5*(combat level-3). Character must dispose of enough points in order to learn a talent.
Each higher level primary talent replaces lower level ones, thus for instance, Expert fortune would grant +3 Luck, not +1+2+3=+6 luck.
The amount of chosen secondary talents within a sector cannot exceed the amount of chosen primary ones. Thus, the maximal available amount of secondary talents to choose in any one sector is three.
Moreover, in order to learn a secondary talent from any circle, you must have (circle number)-1 primary talents of that sector learned. Thus, in order to learn the fourth circle talent, you need the expert primary talent of the same sector.
If there is an arrow between any two talents, you will have to learn the originating talent in order to get the destination one. If there are multiple arrows leading to a talent, all originating ones must be learned.
Unique racial talents do not have prerequisites.

The talent system is now being tested. During this testing period, players can reset talents for their characters at any minute absolutely free of charge. Be aware that talent efficiency and/or cost can be changed at any moment; you will be notified of any changes by an official announcement.

Feel free to browse the talent wheels of all factions and plan your own talent build:
Knights, Necromancers, Wizards, Elves, Barbarians, Dark elves, Demons.

Also we decided to abolish the temporary effects of castle buildings. Temp effects can be partially replaced by constant effects of newly introduced talents. Besides, such notions as "temporary effect" exert unfavorable influence upon faction balance; they should not be an option. Another negative factor is that players tend to limit their combat performance by the effect duration, for one hour once in three hours.

As a result, all buildings granting temp effects will be removed. Those who have already constructed such buildings will get a full refund of gold and resources spent.
