AuthorMercenary guild quest: An Index
so, let's try to put some order in the quest types, maybe it can be useful.... or maybe not... but i thibk that knowledge is an important part of success.... :P
I put in bracket my results, as wizard level 5 with not so many artifacts and without gremlin engineers: (victories/battles)

1. Delivering: you have to bring something somewhere... there's a slight possibility that noone will bother you.... but most of the time you will be in the middle of the battle field, attacked by bandits from every corner, and they're not so easy.... (0/5)

2. Monsters: you'll have to fight one enemy, but he's got 1800 hp.... no way for a level 5, at least i think so.... (0/4)

3. Armies: 3 attempts for defeating it... i think it can be done, but i never managed... the good thing is that everything you kill during attempt 1 and 2 remains dead... the bad thing is that the army is strong :P (0/4)

4. Raids: some kind of monsters to battle... after you defeat them, another bunch, greater in number comes out of nothing.... it can be done.... (1/1)

5. Invasions: Similar to armies, but you have only one attempt to defeat them.... (0/2)

6. Protection: as far as I know, you can ve requested to protect GM archers, or archers, or farmers... first is an easy task, as long as you get rid of the enemy's ranged units.... third is quite hard, your friend could be defeated justbefore you start attacking.... (2/4)

7. Other kind of quest: sure i forgot something, or maybe there are some i don't even know....
I'll say just one thing: you have very small chances for win with so low level of skillpoint..
When I received 5 level I already had 4 level of skillpoint.. so I could deal 96 damage with magic arrow and I had 40 mana.. so my hero could deal 960 damage..
this is the way for win.. I equip only artifacts for spellpower, which increased this damage.. and mini-artifacts
on 5 lvl everything is heavy , on 6 level some tasks are yeasy , no 7 lvl you'll do most of the quests...
1) hard quest cause u don't know what enemy is waiting for you
2) best quest for elfs , knights with 2nd upgrade , barbarians with 2nd upgrade and DE with 2nd upgrade
3)easy , u just need good strategy , on .ru server on 6th level i killed mage army(6)
4)this quest u shouldn't take if u don't have a chance to kill these creatures immediately
5)a bit harder , than armies
6) easy when u defend elf archers and furys , cause they can kill almost all army instead of you...u just should kill ranged units.
7) can't recolect any other quests =))

aravil, i know my skillpoints are low.. but i started as a necro before i decided that wizard was funnier (for me) :P

I already owned GM bowmen monster recruit monster magi monster lorekeeper monster =)

and there are some times things like devil monsters (5500hp)

the raids are deepening on the monster levels there i never beat things like treefolk or cave demons and giants i never tried^^

so dont believe everything =P
aw and defending GM of bow and farmers is easy until (4) than i started loosing =D
asthedead.. i was speaking about quests at their beginning, expert player as you surely are don't need suggestions and "indexes", but recent noobs as I am could find something interesting in it.....
i'm glad that you've cast you immense wisdom upon my reflection, but i don't think i'll be able to take advantage from it for ages..... so maybe, before you call rubbish the things you read, you could think about who is writing and who could be interested in reading... ;)
I am not an expert player i am lvl 5 too^^

my hint for killing monsters(rthat with 2000hp) is kill only that one with bad skills or rangers/mages because u reach them quick

and this is at the begining i have the most uests on (0) or (1) only the easy ones like vnaguards ond (3-5)

my suggestions are fight aggainst all raides of level 1-3 creatures
against anguard of.... DE,wizard,knight dont fight against necro vanguard on level 5 (well i lsot extremly high)

if you fight monsters mages/shooter are my suggestion
and brigands are often cery strong maybe it is possible to beat necro brigands

i could have noticed something strange....

yesterday night i did the gm bowmen quest again, winning it, then i went to bed before going back to the mercenaries headquarters... now i did it, and they told me i had failed, not paying me, not giving me reputation, even if i have one more victory scored in my character page..... is that normal?
yes.. you must complete he quest and report about it during the certain time..
triptrix... your post is very very helpful for ppl who've never tried quest.. kudos to that.....

When I first played. I had no idea what quest is and how izit works? in fact.... i don't even know during the 3 attempt thingy.. the dead monsters stay dead. So i wasted a lot of wins last time because I didn't see a post like this.
aravil, thx... maybe it's because i lost almost all my quest, but i never realized that even the report should be done in the assigned time... and honestly that's a little strange....

i mean: if i managed to save the bowmen's lives, i did the quest well, no matter if i report in 10 or 200 minutes... :P

and, in fact, it's counted as an accomplished quest on my char page....

is it thought to work this way, or could it be considered somehow a little bug? :)

frozenfire, thanks, the idea was just helping the new players not to make all the mistakes i made when i started doing quests... :P
uhm.. i could have seen bad... i just finished another quest, and this time - before i made the report - the quest counter on my char page has not increased...

so maybe even last time, when i saved the bowmen and didn't report, it could be that the counter didn't increase....

that would solve the question i asked in last post.. there's no bug.. :P
Ok, some more infos about these quests.... maybe these are even less useful than the first, but i'm trying to do a complete work ;)

Time:
if you succeed or fail, you have to wait 40 minutes for a new quest.
If you decline, you have to wait only 20 minutes

- as far as i know, the higher the reputation, the shortest the wait, but i never managed to reach reputation higher than 1, so i don't know... :P

Prizes:
at guild level zero you can (which percentage is not so clear, depends a lot on luck) receive elements: meteorite shards or toadstool.. they can be used for enchantin (when you are combat level 6) or can be sold in the market

anyone has something to add regarding waiting time or prizes?
Chance to get element after successfully completed quest is about 20%.
Maximum of reputation is 10. The higher the reputation, the shortest the wait.
You have to wait 40 minutes with 0 reputation, or 20 minutes with reputation 10.

No, as far as i know.
