how come people sell resources at the market for prices 20% higher then what you pay at the facility itself?
why people are so shallow, and worse how come people buy it |
Some players are too lasy to go to another sector to buy a resourse, some don't know how to move between sectors.. some don't know where are the facilities with resourses.. or they are just silly and don;t know the normal prices..
and if there are such people, other people can make money on them) |
The people selling resources (and artifacts) on the market have perfomed a manual labor. They have spent the 2-3 minutes to go to the place where the resource is found and added it to the market. So they expect to gain a little from it. Simple business-theory.
For example, kiwi, why do you pay at all for bananas? They grow on trees and you can pick them for free... The merchants at your local grocery-store is adding way more than 20% to the price. ;) |

| What I'd really like to know, is why are people selling resourses cheaper then they buy them. Like, 1 crystal is worth 369, people sell them for 371, minus 4gp tax, and voila - they lose 2 gp for every crystal sold. Why do they do it? |
| Sometimes you get resources when you sell artifacts to the state. If people do not need those resources, they might sell it at lower-than average prices to male a certain quick sale =) |
