Author | Switching Factions |
I am interested in trying out new factions, but before I decide to switch I have some questions.
1. Would switching factions hurt my character in the long run? (The way I see it is if I switch I'll probably have less racial faction points than if I stayed the same faction.)
2. Are there any benefits for switching?
3. Is it possible to start a new character on the same account?
Thanks. | 1. You will keep all your castle buildings and skill points in case you would want to return to this faction again. But after switching you'd have to build the castle anew, and of course, raise your faction skill from zero.
2. There are. Every faction skill level protects you by 3% from heroes and their armies of that very faction. Look for more details here.

3. We don't have accounts here =) You can abandon this character and create a new one. You can even play with two characters simultaneously, but keep to the rules please.

What I mean is, when you switch, you keep all the buildings and skills of the old faction. You don't have anything in the new faction though, so you have to rebuild and gain faction skills from nothing. If you ever return yo your old faction again, you will have it all just as it was when you left that faction. | Thanks Artic. I forgot to ask about the castle buildings, but you anticipated it and answered it.
I see most of the top players have just stuck to their faction, so I think I will do that. Besides, it would be pretty expensive for me to build the 3rd creature buildings for any faction I would like to try out.
I just wanted to play as some other factions so I can have a better idea of what their strengths and weaknesses are so when I go back to my wizard I will know how to handle them better. :)
As for the simultaneous characters. I read the rules, but just so I don't unintentionally break them. I would need to put my main character in my info in both characters? And as long as I do not trade or participate in battle together, I would be fine? | 4.
Some players aim to gain a little bit of every faction skill, some go with one faction all the way up to skill level 9. I assure you , both are quite successful in PVP in their own way :)
As to multiple characters question, that is correct. You write who is the main character and who is secondary one in both profiles.
And as long as I do not trade or participate in battle together, I would be fine?
Absolutely. |
