Wow, I'm surprised you sent me mail notifying your new updates.. Thanx!
The story and the battle desription is going really nice I think.. And the main character's name is a nice addition, too.. DIdn't see that coming, lol..
Can't wait to read more ^^ |
No need to wait. Just posted newest update, a lil bit more than usual but I think it's worth the read. Might want to steer clear lil kiddies this one is a tad more graphic. =)
Let me know what u think. |
"tad more graphic"
it was amazingly graphic, the battledance was described with utter precision.
did you practice some yourself? =)
just made my lunchbreak worthwhile :p |
At first I thought it was battledance, but after a little while I realized it wasn't battledance, but the prelude to one by regular forest keepers.
There should be a graphic warning for the kiddies. PG-13 or something :)
The descriptions in this latest entry were written very well. I could almost see the fight. |
Glad you liked it. The elven art of fighting isn't finished revealing itself - there's plenty more to expound upon. Hope you're up for reading it.
BTW, once the names are chosen from the other thread i posted in the ideas and suggestions forum (Let all LWM see ur name!!!) you'll have a new dose of the Chronicles of Skunder. =) |
Awesome battle...nice story.
I like it very much.
But, why do you make the main character so weak? 3 imps can hurt him :) |
Hey Skunder, ya can't dodge Succubus shots!!
And also, how is it that FKs (teir 2) beat wolves (tier 3) so easily!
Elves are OP IMO... :)
I'll be happy as long as you include at least one account of an entire elven army/city being torn apart :P |
46. The main character is a youth - an elf in his teen years. He's not so much a warrior as a scholar (thus the becoming a Keeper historian). He should be happy to have defeated the imps at all.
47. Try to imagine the story as it's own entity - that the characters in the story aren't 'units' of a game but instead characters with degrees of experience and the like. But if you can;t do that, then imagine that the led elf got Luck and then Favored enemy and brought the swords down on its head. And the other wolfies died by sheer numbers. =D
"I'll be happy as long as you include at least one account of an entire elven army/city being torn apart"
Well you know it is about YOUR happiness afterall. =) |
Well ill be happy once the demons are ravaging the elves and then there old evil brothers the DE arrive and slaughter the demons. then mages try to stop this destruction but one lone shrew emerges and obliterates the whole entire mage army by such awesome speed and damage. |
How'd u know MasterTI? That's the exact wording I was going to use to close the story up. =) |
#49
lol.... that's a lot of action. |
for Skunder:
:D xD :)
They are amazing |
Newest update for the Chronicles of Skunder are up. see posts 9 and 10.
btw, just a lilttle fyi for the readers - the timeline of the story takes place from 50-150 years before the 'present time' - according to events posted on the Home Page of the website. specific time wont be disclosed as of yet...
also, hope those who added to the 'Let all LWM see ur name!!!' possibly find their names on the updates. |
What are the new names |
u'll have to compare the topic in the Ideas and Suggestions forum under the forum topic: Let all LWM know ur name!!!
and compare them with the new characters found on the Chronicles of Skunder in the creative forum. Shouldn't be hard...there's only 5 new character names there. =D |
i like Balkaan :)
somehow i feel that his wild hairs are an ecosystem in itself :P
a good update...
curious about The Chazr Daemonium! |
I'll forever envision some crawly things in the unkept elf's hair just because of you guru.
Chazr Daemonium = cookbook. =) How to eat elves. =O |
Hey Skunder, ya can't dodge Succubus shots!!
What you see on the battlefield is just an abstract representation of what really happens. In this case the defence value is composed of many factors like physical armour, natural armour (like leathery skin or scales) and also of evasion, which probably is the biggest part of Elven defence.
And also, how is it that FKs (teir 2) beat wolves (tier 3) so easily!
This can have many reasons like better equipment, superior leadership or the Elves just got the first strike.
I really like the story this far, it's very well written and has a dense atmosphere. The one thing I find strange though is that the boy stands between the clashing forces in the battle scene, but the Elves don't try to shield him or get him to seek cover and the succubus doesn't try to fry him, when she realizes she lost the battle, although she is aware of his importance. |
@ Skun
:P you need not envision creepy crawlies in Balkaan's hair, it can be a pretty ecosystem complete with butterflies, bees and multicoloured flowers.
but this will seriously damage his wild looks!
and, can i have an autographed edition of Chazr Daemonium? my vamps wanted something exotic for supper |
fusei,
I'm trying to make the story something outside of the normal parameters of the 'system'. i think you are the 2nd or so person to ask about the game technicalities within the story. try to imagine that a story is outside of the normal rules of a game. that's the best i can explain in one sentence. =)
the way i envisioned the battlescene with the 'young elf' in the center was that the other elves would have run forward and thus gotten in the way. it was merely a matter of perspective. either that or it's that i write at 2am usually and dont do such a thorough edit. =)
guru,
maybe Takesister can help out Balkaan's wildness, i'm sure she could find a way to complement the wild yet naturey sense about him. =D |
