well depends,
with DE u just use your shrews to pwn em right away, with demon you need to think about gating ( should you or should you not + Faction Points matter if you're going to gate , they matter a lot) |
demon is not bad in TG, but when compared to DE, demon is not a great thief.
but you can lose for some time, and it will become easier
if you want to play (for me) the most interesting faction, go for demon.
but, if you want to be good in TG all the time, stick to DE, don't switch. |
I have played de before tg4, played demon after tg4, I found that there isn't any different between demon and de, surely demon can not campare to de, but I can still keep a reasonable winning rate.
The arts is the same, for the slow carvans such as nacromancer, I even found some advantage than de^^ |

| any ideas for lv9 demon, on how to get lv10 quickly? im currently doing TG, but ive been wondering, should i use min AP and try to loose on the caravans, just to make sure I can win it next time? thx, hehe |
dunno , haven't gotten to lv9 or 10 yet ><
i'm thinking of becoming DE at lv8 & doing TG like that .... but if my friend calculated right, it would cost me more than 160k gold for all buildings :S
what do you think about the idea & money cost ? |
hmm.. i think lvl8 demon is strong enough to do TG n.n
incendieries n hell horses are very powerful, trust me n.n
better save ur money for arts, hehe.. |

that's how i remembered the nick of imo the best player of LordsWM. you can learn much if you watch his battles from time to time.
i played DE on levels 8 and 9, and i must say that i'm very pleased at my decision. bad levels for demon i feel, very good for DE. i also got 6 faction levels as DE that way, and you have no idea how useful those points are now. 'cause everyone around me seems to be DE, and i have 20% damage reduction against them.
on level 10 i returned to my favorite faction - happy camper now ;)
1 more thing. yes you need a lot of cash for switching to any other faction on level 8, but you don't need all the buildings right away. you can go without upgraded poisoners, warehouse, mage guild etc. for start at least... |
so far, 9 is the hardest lvl to get through..
