AuthorNeed a bit help with changing faction
#19:

Thanks for that detailled answer.

Just for the case:

Barbarian: I don't need hobgoblin upgrade right?

Knight: Do I need recruits?
And: Possible with minimum arts?
For knight recruits is vital especially with low fsp. By upgrading farmer to recruit, the amount of your unit will increase too.
I think its possible doing with minimum arts, try to use defensive stats and talent + Escort. Escort is very powerful at lv.6 Thieving, u will watching caravan killing itself when attacking your escorted unit. :D
#23: I watched a few ambushes from your combat log and looked like you came out with many troops at the end, especially swordsmen. As far as I have seen you used your recruits only to guard bowmen.

Which arts did you wear?
for Nutella:

Thats true, i used recruits only to guard bowmen. Its give u a passive bonus "Increase unit amount" by upgrading farmer to recruit at knight castle, thats why i upgrading farmer to recruits.

I wear steel set ( helm, boot, armor ), amulet of luck, and sword of might.

OK, that explains it.

I wear steel set

But it wasn't really necessary, wasn't it? Like it was your aim to finish as fast as possible? I don't need to finish very fast.

I will try to find some Barbarians who have managed TG2 at lvl 6 (Does somebody know one?), until then Knight should be a good choice.
But it wasn't really necessary, wasn't it? Like it was your aim to finish as fast as possible? I don't need to finish very fast
max rent time is 1 month, doesnt matter from which person you rent it

Yes, im renting TGI that time, 1 days 2k gold so i need to finish it very fast. :P

Maybe barbarian more easier to switch, the racial trait doesnt affect so much. Ur main was wizard, i think barbarian was wizard counter, so it maybe good to increase barbarian fsp to get the damage reduction when fighting barbarian as wizard.

Knight: Do I need recruits?

Barbarian: no, you don't need hobgobs.

Knight: yes, you do need it, because having recruits increase the size of your whole army, even if you don't use recruits in your troop selection.

Sure, I know.

So does anyone know a Barbarian lvl 6 TG2?

The only 2 barbs before level 8 with TG2 on this server

Hmm, thanks for research. But.. it doesn't cover barbs who are now level 12 and finished TG2 at level 6.

And.. dekla did many ambushes as wizard and knight. But I'll ask them both for their experiences.
finish TG2 at level 6 is impossible I think.
You get too much experience so you cant stay at 6

My advice would be to start at level 7.
Then after 80-90 ambushes you reach level 8, you get new units and you can do the last few easier.
Why should it be impossible? 120 ambushes x approximately 500 xp = 60,000 xp. And I think 500 xp is a high rate. So even with some losses it should be doable (I've got 97,000 xp to lvl 7), if I do nothing else then ambushing.
500 exp? lol
500 exp? lol doesn't help me much. ;)

But I have to correct myself. 500 xp for a caravan is a high rate. I checked some battles from L-Silvard. I know players give more xp. But I would expect many losses against players because of minimum arts.
Against a caravan you easily get 1000 exp and against a player you get 2000-3000 exp if you win.

I started thieveing at level 7, so exp rates at level 6 can be a little bit lower but I doubt its 50%-75% lower.
Check a few battles from L-Silvard's combat log and you will see. 500xp is in fact high. I've looked at minimum 10 battles.
Yes, you are right there. I thought it was higher.
But I just did a quick count.
He fought rougly 30 players and lost 25 battles.

So to reach TG2 he did:
90 wins from caravans
30 wins from players
25 losses from caravans

so that is
90*(500~600) + 30*(2000~2500) + 25*(200~250)
thats ~125 000 exp
Although I think your numbers are really high, I'll take that in account, thanks for your effort (Thanks to all btw who answered and will answer :)

Some calculations (Correct me please, if I've done mistakes):

For Knight I'll need 41985 gold to build up castle for level 6. I won't build market place, warehouse, blacksmith and mage guild 1 (I don't need it now, or do I?)

For Barbarian I'll need 9370 gold (same as above and no hob hall).

If I reach level 7 in both cases the fort upgrade can nearly paid from the gold I get through level up.

I don't worry much about the costs of TGI rental, worst case would be paying the 2 thief arts.

So maybe Barbarian is the better choice, because it's cheaper and leaves some space for buying better arts if necessary. And yes, some fsp in Barb won't hurt. Contra to that: Until now there are few Barbarians who managed TG2 at level 6.

In both cases I will save gold and don't do any battles until I've got enough, so don't worry about my balance.

Anymore thoughts to this?
