I don't think that the TG lvl is important. At lvl 8 I won about 90% of ambushes. In lvl 9 about 30%, but I've done about 20% of battles in minimum arts.
Do it only if you have much gold to repair your arts. I think 2 weeks are doable. Maybe you should stop all other battles (hunts etc.) and set up ambushes only at roads where less human players go to get as little xp as possible. If you are lucky, you have 70 thief points when reaching lvl 9. The other 50 will be a torture. |
| And remember: If you lose, you have to wait one hour to set up another ambush. So do your lvl 8 ambushes as fast as possible to have some time space for lvl 9. |
yeah Lordshniesel, I've found also that ones... very lucky.
But how about a wizard carovan with 2 stacks of 104 gargoyles, 1 of 54 enchanted gargoyles, 1 of 64 golems, 3 of 10 magis and 1 of 9 lorekeepers?
Wow.
This was really impossible, maybe with 4 luck and 5 morale (but it's impossible to havethis on level 9). |
for Luckas:
Some of 'vans you named can be defeated by elf/DE. Srews and efk are a huge help in TG, probably more than all other upgrades (imo) Of course, being a wiz in triple minifull also helps :}
But sometimes all you can do is lose hoping that next time you get a do-able caravan configuration, even if it won't be really weaker (ex. getting 4 stacks of liz rather that 4 stacks of hydra - but the caravan is still of the same type) |

The lower your level the easier it is to be a thief. |
I know abot the provileges of these races, Shebali; it's not strange that quite all high level player (11+, mean) are dark elves (shrews). This game is easier for them. :)
