| Negative XP penalties work two ways: the first is as a deterrent, the second (which may be even more effective) is by making it so there's less AFKing in higher level fights. Chronic AFKers will find it hard to level and dedicated players will have less of them to deal with as they advance. |

give me negative experience and I will ALWAYS be AFK!
So, negative experience is very bad idea (this idea was posted many times and many times it was explained why negative experience is very bad idea, so why anybody still talking about negative experience?)
Instead, give negative skill points or give gold penalty.

Simple code will solve this problem.
AFKer in hunt must pay another player 300 gold and get -1 luck two hours. (by system).
One player must have 300 gold first, then he can help others. |

The thing that gets me is that if someone has gone AFK for a connection problem etc....
Why don't they mail me and apologise???
Out of all the AFK's I've had only one person have the decency to apologise and as such they have a second chance of my help in future battles. All the rest are on my blacklist.
I have even had a few of them who are still online while 'apparently' having connection problems. Most AFK's are such because they are doing something else which is stupid if you've just requested assistance.
We keep seeing posts asking for punishment but I have yet to see any notices from admin as to anything being put in place to combat this problem.
My take on a suitable punishment would be to take away the assist button from the AFK'er for a full day or more then at least the battle board would have a much better percentage of genuine requests for help from people who actually needed it and had time to play it out. |
well.. i suppose the best way to punish hunt-afk is to just don't let them ask hunting assistens again for the next 30 hunts.. (not hours.. afk's are gone anyway.. so that doesn't make sens)
as a reward, the one assisting just gets the hunt..
