Ah, these majestic capital walls! Their appearance alone inspired a feeling of inner calm and peace, which the warlord had been lacking in recent days. Here they reigned throughout, expressed in the serene bustle of the townspeople as well as in their smiles when they met. Isn’t this what all the great wars of old were fought for? Being so preoccupied with military affairs, Grammith rarely allowed himself to think about such things. Nevertheless, now these thoughts did not leave his mind throughout the entire journey to the palace. Upon arriving at the location, the First Knight of the Empire once again felt how a troubled worry was beginning to consume him. He was obliged to immediately report to the Empress about the results of the expedition, and had no right to make Her Majesty wait.

Having passed the palace guards and onwards through the doors open before him, Grammith crossed the threshold plunging into the unique atmosphere of the sublime throne room, perpetuating with feelings of inner pride and dignity. Few have had the honor of being within these walls at least once in their life. The First Knight of the Empire, although being one of the most frequent guests, now felt as if he was seeing them for the first time. Her Majesty was already seated at her throne, as if expecting the arrival of the warlord. Just one look at her was enough for the knight to be filled with determination, casting aside all vague thoughts. Approaching the throne and bowing his head, Grammith spoke in a clear and confident voice: "Your order has been carried out, Your Majesty. In the strictest precision to its formulation". The form of the report did not correspond to the usual, but it accurately reflected everything the knight wanted to convey. "Councilor Feurlis has already reported to me", the Empress answered briefly, her words awakening a new wave of concern within the warlord, however her subsequent words diluted it with bewilderment, "I am glad that you managed to find a common language between the two of you and the inner strength to understand". Grammith was genuinely surprised by what he heard and tried to mentally imagine what exactly the Councilor had told her. Nonetheless, the words of the ruler that followed yet again captivated his attention: "I’m sorry that ‘Knight’s Valor’ has faded". As soon as these words left her lips, the Empress rose from her throne and gave a beckoning signal with her hand to someone behind the warlord. Then came the sound of heavy footsteps, each step resonating with the frantic pounding of Grammith’s heart in his chest. "The ‘Guardian of the Crown’ fell in battle…" the ruler continued, slowly drawing nearer to the knight against the backdrop of increasingly distinct steps behind him. "…Reborn as the ‘Guardian of the Empire’..." in these words, time seemed to freeze for a moment, and an instant later, one of the sentinels appeared from behind the warlord’s back. The guard bowed before Her Majesty, holding high in front of him a small gold-trimmed pillow with a sword lying on it. A very familiar sword, which Grammith simply could not fail to recognize. "…My faithful guardian", The Empress finally added, carefully taking the weapon into her hands and solemnly handing it to the warlord.

Only now was the knight able to see the blade in all its grand splendor. Engraved with the Imperial crest, it was indeed a reforged reincarnation of his shattered sword, much improved since their last battle. Grammith involuntarily raised his hands to accept this priceless gift, but at the last moment he froze. He couldn’t bring himself to touch it after he allowed himself to doubt Her Majesty’s order. He fulfilled it, but lost the fight to himself, to his code of honor, which he followed all these years. Noticing the shadow of indecision on the old warrior’s face, the Empress promptly said, turning his gaze to herself: "Valor does not lie in victories or defeats. Valor is strength guided by wisdom. And I am proud that my warlord is not deprived of either one". These words to Grammith, were like an inspiring heavenly hymn sung by a choir of angels. They could fill his resolve even if he stood alone on the battlefield in the very heart of hell against countless legions of enemies. There were no traces of doubt left - and the warlord finally grazed the surface of his sword, accepting the gift given to him and the full weight of responsibility that it carried within.

Lords and ladies, thanks to your fighting talents and skills, the expedition completed the assigned mission and was able to successfully return home. The Empire values your contribution to the upcoming victory over its worst enemy. The warlord is grateful to all who took part in this campaign, and additionally awards each and everyone one of you who managed to defeat the opponent of the 10th battle stage on any difficulty. The durability of the artifact depends on the number of event points gathered.
